It’s literally only used by griefers because it serves no purpose except for griefing. Being able to POOF outta nowhere and insta kill a bunch of people long after a battle is over is not competitive, it does not promote competition or a healthy game environment and turns players away from Cyrodiil. It has no place in the game, is purely toxic. Remove it now

It takes no skill and is seriously overpowered against groups.

It is for smaller-scale groups or solo players and though it may be annoying, it is a valid playstyle and it is unhealthy for the game to eliminate a playstyle just because you don't like it. You can do many things to counter a bomber, such as not clustering in groups, holding block, using things like Magelight or pots that show stealthed combatants...you can protect yourself if you try.Grand Master Crafter, Beta baby who grew with the game. ✭✭✭✭✭I don’t know... I respect solo bombers who are able to pull it off as it takes timing and taking advantage of opportunity. But ball groups running around with whatever combination of Crimson Twilight, Vicious Death, Proximity Detonation, etc. — how do you even counter that? One tries cold fire siege but the tidal wave of death will overtake you before more than a few volleys.

✭✭NoMost of the time bombers do not take flags, keeps, or resources. They simply die at the end of their bomb. They only live to kill players.
The problem isn't really bombers.. but that they're the only solution against clustered up zergs. Meatbag, lancers, coldfire, none of them get more than one or two people and if there's enough of a zerg you need a more coordinated zerg to counter them.0 -
Jackey✭✭✭✭✭NoThese bombers you're talking about appears during MYM because it's an effective way to farm AP. They are pretty easy to avoid if you know the spots they usually bomb.
In my experience they're more tactical during regular days when there's no double AP.

Bombing gives you no more ap than simply leeching off of zergs, and it's probably the most frustrating playstyle in pvp. On top of that, bombing very rarely has any impact on the campaign, you wipe a couple players on a flag and then they kill you and res.

Personally, I think its a great reason to stay alert while holding a flag, standing around or repairing a door. Ambushing unaware players isn't toxic. Stay alert, don't play super squishy, and hold block on the flags.

A bomb is basically an all-in gank that kills one player to spread that damage to a whole group.
The counters are the same: stay alert, don't run super squishy, and hold block if you are standing around. Be ready to react when it happens.
I've only ever ganked one player: an AD who was too inexperienced to realize that standing outside the keep walls while reading his map was a bad idea. He made a very tempting target of opportunity. So yeah, count me in the group who thinks that bombing and ganking are both legitimate playstyles, even though I'm usually on the receiving end.3 -

Augustus67✭✭✭NoI rolled up a bomber during the last double xp event,leveled all the relevant skills,golded out the right sets and......failed miserably. Bombing takes a lot of skill to pull off,I've tried 25 bombs and been successfuls 3 times,lol.The timing is key and can be difficult to get right.Much respect to the guys that pull this off consistenly.10
