Hopefully nobody got it Solely for Any single feature.Who cares? Imperial gear is ugly anyway. If you bought the Imperial Edition solely for Imperial gear then you deserve to have wasted that money.
You don't craft imperial gear. You equip the gear, right click it, and "convert to imperial style".

I could see a few getting it Just for that...
And it might be the only thing worth the extra $30.
This is the list of Features for paying for Imperial Edition. From the purchase page.. In order.. each is in a separate box.
Play as an Imperial
Imperial White Horse
Craft Imperial Gear" Ability to craft Imperial style when crafting gear."Transform Into Imperial Gear"Transform any gear you own into Imperial styled gear."Rings of Mara
Mudcrab Vanity Pet
6 features, for $30 additional.
So the way I see it, they're shorting every Imperial Edition purchase $5 worth of bonuses.

I wouldn't have coughed up $40 for the physical edition, just for the Imperial, though.
Well. I'm OK with not being able to craft imperial armor. But im NOT ok with not being able to convert some pieces that i loot. If i paid to be able to convert armors, i want to be able to convert ALL armors that i loot or make. This is not the case now.

I love it when a gaming community suddenly become lawyers.
Opinions, opinions. I think Imperial armor is one of the best looking. Especially at veteran levels.Who cares? Imperial gear is ugly anyway. If you bought the Imperial Edition solely for Imperial gear then you deserve to have wasted that money.

You can convert any crafted armor in Imperial.
If you wanna get Imperial crafting style play as Imperial (hey, you can play as Imperial!) or find Imperial motiff somewhere.
I have Imperial edition too.

Exactly. The ad says you can craft Imperial style gear. You CAN. You can create an Imperial and craft their gear without a motif. It does not say you can do it on any race.

Well, the people "claiming" that it only applies if you create & play as an Imperial are 100% correct. Don't confuse that with people saying that you should be satisfied with that, though. Sure some people are saying that, but others are just describing the way it was implemented without drawing any conclusion as to whether that's fair.Imagine this..
Imperial edition purchases..
Only get the Pets if you create/play as a Dunmer.
Only get the Horse if you create/play as a Nord.
Only get the Rings of Marra if you create/play as Breton.
Do you think people wouldn't be complaining?
But when I point out an Identically framed feature to these - people quickly claim it only applies if I create/play as Imperial.

This thread reminds me of why products have to have warnings that say "Warning: Product will be hot after heating" and "Warning: Hot liquids are hot". You give a brief overview of some features, people complain that it doesn't work EXACTLY like they thought it would. What do you want, a novel written on the back of the box explaining every little detail?
You can do what the ad says you can do. It's not misleading at all. The ad does not say you can craft it on any race. It says you can craft Imperial gear, which the Imperial edition gives you the ability to do, by way of the Imperial race.
