Feeling let down

Just spent around 2 hours going from trader to trader trying to buy Battalion defender set so i can try tanking tomorrow with my newly joined guild, nobody is selling it. Most guilds are selling between 30-60 items, mostly mats and other crap.

Absolutely shocking its taken almost 4/5 full days to fix one of the biggest aspects of any MMO (Trading) yet maintenance was almost instant when Greymoor could be accessed by anybody.

Played this game since 2015 on PS4, left for a while and came back beginning of 2020, made the jump over to PC spending £500 on a new computer to run ESO and honestly I feel completely let down by the company running this game within the last 6 months, cant imagine how some feel over the last 6 years..

Not only do they seem to ignore everything mentioned on the forums in terms of feedback but its clear they honestly do not care in the slightest about the game play of their player population.

Honestly makes me want to take a hiatus again.

Just my 2 cents and frustration, I know there is an update in 5 hours for the trading bug but I feel that's far too late for such a major problem.

Looks like there is some Battalion Defender stuff on there & it will tell you exactly what guild trader stall to go to.

I haven't been silent re: flaws I've felt the game has had lately, but I would say that this is probably not as big of a deal as other things.

Personally I feel as if acquiring a full set of gear is meant to be a goal to work towards, although it is possible to shop quickly or get lucky with drops,crafted/beginning sets are the way to fill that gap while you grind towards the better sets. This applies whether you are playing for drops or shopping.

Just browsed and alot of the guilds are not where they should be due to the bug.

If people are going to give this type of (sensible) advice, maybe ESO should just switch to a global auction house?
Or the OP could continue to trek all over Tamriel only to find one guild kiosk after another of blue jewelry writs.
Which would be even more "fun" if the harder-overland crowd had their way.

Unfortunately this advice is usually sound but with the bug no traders are where they are so there is no reliable source of where to buy the item from.

I have resorted to travelling from place to place searching while on zone chat.

Gee. Too bad there isn't some centralized, easy to access system where all players can list their items, and all players can see all the items currently for sale.

Looking for the ring and a ice/shock staff. Been looking for another ring for 3 hours.

shouldn't take someone 5 hours of traversing the world map to buy a set of armour.

But you are using a contrived argument. 4 hours of shopping and you did not find 5 pieces? Not buying it. Pardon the pun.

There are many good tanking sets if you are just wanting to try out tanking. Besides, if you really want this particular set, get it the same way everyone everyone else does and Farm RotW boxes. Perhaps your guild could share their largess with you.

Why would I lie about how long it's taken me to find the pieces? Would serve me no point at all. I am still actually 1 ring short so have found 5/6 pieces.

I have tried tanking, as mentioned earlier I moved over from PS4.

Get it the same way as everyone else? It is a tradeable set for a reason. Again I think the reason for the thread has been missed on you or your just so vehemently determined to back up ZOS.

Why are you trying for 6 pieces? 5 pieces gets you the main benefit. The 6th piece offers nothing after you've already got 5/5.

So you need a ring and an ice or shock staff in Battalion Defender? What server, PC NA or PC EU? If it's NA, I'll check my bank account and storage chests to see what I have.

that you are not finding stuff has only to do wit the bug that the guild trader swap didnt work so the usual big trading guilds are not around - wait until this is fixed after maintenance, look on tamriel trade center and you will find everything fast

Maybe Zos just needs a monetary incentive. I would pay credits for access to an AH. Or add AH to subscription.

Hey, they got the Faction switch tokens now, and Faction switch is IMHO not a good idea.

So, there's hope that if it's gonna bring in Zos money, an AH might still be brought in.

Now imagine that same team designing a global trade hub that simultaneously lists, sells, sorts, and searches an entire continent's-worth of players' transactions in real-time.

Bought it once (Xbox EU) and had a bit of a hard time to find Sturdy/Infused pieces I wanted, it took me a couple of days sweeping through popular guild trading spots. But like two days ago, I needed another set for a new tank, and found 4 out of 5 pieces in Mournhold, the 5'th piece I found at some other trading location I don't exactly remember.

So, sometimes you are lucky, sometimes you are not. If you are in a PVP guild, try asking there. When people go through their RFTW stuff, they generally just sell or decon most stuff afaik (as I do myself).

It would be nice if the OP could even find out if they are on a fool's errand and the pieces simply aren't available or available for a reasonable price.

It drops from rewards of the worthy (pvp) I doubt any makes it out of Cyrodiil alive.

All they have to do is make a deal with Archeage or SWTOR or any number of other game companies and they could have a global AH up in a month. The technology already exists - in Abundance.
