Battlegrounds Solo queuing only

Try waiting 5 minutes to get into a match just to get run over by a 4man who can't be killed. It's simply not healthy . DR4GONFL1✭✭✭✭That is honestly the best thing that could ever happen. Premade BGs were so unbalanced all the time especially if you fought randoms. I couldn't be happier about that change, finally BGs evolve to a challenge, where you can't rely on your team anymore but have to be good yourself.
But that makes no sense, it's a team based game, it's you and 3 other team members.
Not like it's 12 players and everyone is solo and has to kill off the other 11 players.
I'm not saying get rid of solo queuing I'm asking for 2 individual queue's
No, most of the time it is a PUG group or 2 against a well balanced team just rolling over everyone. And everyone knows how bad it was even the guys in some of the unbalanced teams have gone in solo before. It was horrible.3 -

I've played solo enough to experience premades. I've also played solo enough to know that sometimes people seem like they're in a premade, and they're not.
I would rather lose some games to a premade to play with a friend than I would never have to worry about one.3 -

In a game that is based around group gameplay, a solo queue is going to be less competitive than group queues could be. In the same way that random pickup games of football or basketball would never truly be as competitive as random assortment of players of various positions, that is true of BGs as well. That's not to say that players like you won't take your solo queues seriously and be competitive within them. A bunch of random running around not working together does not make things more competitive. It does not improve balance. I doubt it would even improve the queue because it will be taking players out of the queue.
Why would activities like king of the hill and capture the flag not be made better with teamwork?2 -

I've played solo enough to experience premades. I've also played solo enough to know that sometimes people seem like they're in a premade, and they're not.
I would rather lose some games to a premade to play with a friend than I would never have to worry about one.
IG Everyone's different cause I'd rather get *** by a good solo player than have to deal with another premade who're guaranteed to win no matter how well you play.

You tell a solo player to go to Cyrodiil but you can't do the same when its a group of 2? It is equally selfish for people that like to queue with a premade to ask that premades should be able to que into randoms.
Do you think you would have much fun if you qued with your bf/gf into a 4 man premade that are try hards and you get absolutely demolished? It's not much fun is it?
The only fair and viable option is to have two separate queues. One for solo and one for premade groups of 2-4.@loki220

Sure the grouping queue might take much longer to get matches, but this is an MMO first and foremost.
People would not of minded waiting if it meant they could play alongside their loved ones.
To me it's madness that you can no longer group with your partner or best friend in a game that is all about teamwork.
I would like to think most people would agree with me on this that Zos should of allowed for both queuing types.
I really hope in the next few weeks we see this get resolved.

Did you just ignore all the feedback that contradicts your point of view? Because based on what I saw, more people are happy about it than displeased. (And I'm one of them.) In fact, the MMR reset & solo queues are literally the only thing I'm looking forward to this patch, seeing as ZOS completely hates my class.

If you read the entire PTS thread you would see that most of the complaints are from those who play this game with someone be it husband/wife or friend. I wouldnt play this game if I wasnt playing with my wife and BGs are what we enjoy the most. We are hardly hardcore players and only ever duo. I would rather be stomped by premades most of the time then not get the chance to play together. Most who fail to see whats wrong with this change thinks this is a solo vs 4-man only thing. Its really not. If the PTS feedback showed anything Its how prevalent duos are.4 -

I wish there were two queues to keep everyone somewhat happy. Solo will be so much more fun as a quick blast event but a group queue has the potential to grow into something competitive, for those into that.
And if all else fails, please just bring in xp rewards for all three teams. I'll engage in the content and be cannon fodder if I walk away with xp.0 -

Balanced doesn't mean that it has to be competitive. ESO is not competitive. It's MMO not DOTA. ofc not, That's why I'm suggesting premades to get their own queue instead of completely removing that option from the game. Also, just because we're not always against premades > doesn't mean they aren't a problem . Let's not act like they made this change for no reason at all Lol.0 -
VDoom1✭✭✭✭✭I don't do battlegrounds very often. But it seems this move was made to make them more fair. A group of pro pvpers queuing up and fighting against total newbies, how is that fair? Premade groups are often better or at least more organized than pugs who just got placed in the same group.
Though I agree that a middle ground would be a compromise and possibly appease everyone. That middle ground being a queue for solo and a separate queue for groups. It's not about being selfish, but realistic. Queue times are already long. There is also Imperial City for small scale.
Alot of duos and other groups wont even queue now so you cant count on those to continue in the solo queue.0 -

✭✭There are not as many premades running around destroying randoms as people think and that is the kicker. You hear mouthbreathers say things like "form your own premade if you don't like getting stomped" or any other similar vitriol but the reality is that for the simple fact that premades are not nearly as common that they often are forced into lobbies with non premades just to fill a match. In low mmr they almost always destroy the opposition and farm it up until they move higher in mmr and that is where you get those in high mmr that solo queue end up waiting for 15 to 2p minutes for a pop and when it does you have to deal with a premade for the evening.
I would put 2 queues in for the sole purpose of demonstrating to players how small the "premade" player pool in reality is. Those same mouth breathers will come to this forum and rage about ZOSs ineptitude because their queues are in the 40 minute range when they fail to realize there simply isnt enough players to support that party size bracket. Zos on the other hand already knows this internally from looking at the data and doesnt mater to waste time and energy on inplementing a bracket they know full well will be underpopulated and ultimately ignored. This is why its cyclical, premades are infrequent to the point they are forced into bgs with solos and randoms more often than not, zos seeing that they are an absolute minority compared to the percentage of players queuing for bgs, implements solo queue only for what is the most populated queue status in an effort to chose the lesser of 2 necessary evils.
All they should have done was allow custom lobbies for organized pvp guilds that yield no experience or ap assuming that wouldnt put a strain on the mega server allowing players to generate unique instances at an unpredictable rate.
The biggest collateral victim here is the casual duo queue but the pros outweigh the cons in my eyes.
But after EVERYTHING at the end of the day, the absolute core issue far beyond any queue adjustment ot whatever, is that BGs should have never been 4 man 3 team affairs in the first place. Thst is the root of every single issue with eso bg matchmaking full stop. If BGs would have been 8v8 objective based game mode specific maps with a limit to 4 man party queuing, you would have never had a single issue that you have right now because of a hard focus on making sure your instanced pvp format is all inclusive.4 -

Same here, I'm bashing ZOS lately in almost every post, because, oh, god, they deserve it. But this is a good change.
I disagree they shouldn't add a separate queue though. At the very least an option to arrange a custom game with predefined teams so hardcore pvp guilds could compete if they want to.1 -
