Yeah. It's investment in passives and skill lines, no doubt. I'm shocked, actually, that your armor got reduced - that's crazy!

I only went in to Cyrodiil in the first place because I believed the stats were normalized and I would have a fair shot at having some fun. *** me, right?
I really haven't seen anyone say that, at all.

What they have said is that it's working as intended for you to not have a bat's chance in hell against a level 50 at level 14. Low level players are far more powerful and useful in this game than in any other open world PvP system I've ever seen. I've been PvPing a good bit, and I've been having blast and making worthwhile contributions to my team, despite not being high leveled.

The scaling is imperfect, and doesn't really adequately take gear into account, but it's better than nothing.

I went to cyrodiil for the first time since lvl 10 last night with a lvl 10 sorc healer friend. (I am a 28 templar "tank")

my friend (lvl 10 sorc) was wearing white/green armor lvl 6-10 and had 750 armor
I had full blue lvl 27-28 heavy armor and had 850 armor (350 less than outside cyrodiil)
we did a hp comparison aswell as I had full hp on all items, yet the diffrence was only 100-150hp.
it definatly seems like the midlevel item stats aren't working as intended in there.

was kinda disappointed going full out tanking with heavy armor, s/s spec etc only to have a 100 armor advantage over a fresh lvl 10 with white/green CLOTH gear.

Well the scaling in this game is trash. You do get leveled up as a 49 scrub with garbage gear and stats. The heavy armor you mentioned ? It doesn't matter because your armor is 700 no matter what. I even had passives as a low level that capped my armor when coming out of stealth and they weren't working...

At the moment, if you want to enjoy AvA as a low level, just run with groups and try to support them. Although now that I think about it, it's still gonna suck immensely because the cost of spells will be scaled up, but not your magika pool or magika regen so you will be out of magika for a minute after 4 skills LOL !

Seriously, just grind the levels. PvP before 50 is not enjoyable at all.

Oh my god. The amount of GIMME GIMME GIMME ppl in this thread is mind boggling. Why should you, as a lower level, be anywhere NEAR as powerful as a true lvl 50 or higher?? They put in the time to get to where they are(I'm a VR4 now) and you haven't thus far. Why should you be rewarded with having the same or close to the same survivability or damage or heals as someone that has spent the time to grind out their class??

This entitlement crowd is amazing. You guys are wanting something for nothing. Grind out your damn character like the rest of us so you can actually say you earned your stats and skills. Bolster is never a good idea, but ESO actually does it pretty well. I have pvp'd on and off since reaching lvl 10 and my guild/friends and I are completely ok with the ppl that are high level being more powerful. It's the way it should be.

There is no way in hell a non-50/VR player should have the same power/skills/ability as those that actually put in the work/time to get there. PERIOD

If I remember correctly, only your stats (and perhaps your skills) have been scaled to 50. However what a 50+ Player has over you is the gear along with the morphs that they (may) have on their skills.

The system is fine in general, at low levels you can still participate in Cyrodiil, just don't expect to be able to solo gank everyone around you.

It's scaled to 49. ZOS said even during the beta that TRUE lvl 50 and above players would have a distinct advantage over those who weren't at the same level. People are just wanting something for nothing. Invest the time, like the rest of us, if you want a more even playing field. People need to stop assuming that they are entitled to it just because they play the game.

In most of the latest mmos its part of the course to have an option to play fair, rewarding pvp and level up that way. Not here, the only way you can actually level is solo questing or botgrinding.

It's brilliant how people instead of being grateful to be able to participate and make a contribution in PvP at level 10 are instead ranting how poor and mistreated they are.
It is entirely possible for a group of 2-3 low level players to kill a VR if coordinate and using good tactics (unless he Bolt Escapes that is).
Please, show me any other game where this is possible. People really have unreasonable expectations and expect the iWin button everywhere.

I would be, if there was balanced pvp available in form of battlegrounds and the rewards would justify playing it while Cyrodiil would only be the zerg ground for high levels.

As it is right now, I regard the game as a highly unfinished product and advise anyone who hasn't bought it yet to stay the hell away from it.

This game is balanced for large scale pvp. Always has been, ever since the game went into beta. Expecting something else now that you've purchased the game is just ignorant and an unrealistic expectation. If you want smaller scale pvp, take to the routes in between a defending keep and the enemy keep that is supplying the reinforcements. It is VERY easy to engage in smaller scale pvp and in a manner in which favors you and your group, if you actually use tactics and critical thinking. Only thing I agree with you on is that the actual rewards for pvp, other than the pure satisfaction of killing other players, are pretty much non-existent.

Solution: Make 3 lower Train Battlegrounds with 1 Central Keep to conquer.
    lev10-20, lev21-35, lev36-49
This has DAoC one and it worked.

They do this in SW:TOR and I never liked it. Namely because of the bolster system they have in place. AND that they began to balance pvp, at all levels, based on those lower level experiences. The way it is right now is fine.
