Repeated REpair client and Error 209 repeat

Ok I have repaired my client created the report as requested and am now thoroughly disgusted with this never ending situation having to repair before even attempting to log in. Ever since the maintenance and patch this morning the accessibility has gone to sh!t, the game client does not work the way it should, and now as I type this it is doing yet another verify..... even after the first one. What the H$LL is going on.... I'm with some of the others on here, why would I ever consider paying for this frustration. The game is good but not good enough to continue putting up with this daily debacle. I mean are we really going to subscribe to frustration and stress? Are we really wasting our money when there are other games out there that deliver a gaming experience with less headaches? So my point to the CS folks is this.... Fix the problems, stop making new problems, and get this game working the way it should have been from day one. We reported bugs during the BETA, I know this for a fact as I reported a lot of the ones I'm still experiencing.......sigh Please fix it before May as that is when I will decide on whether to continue to play ESO, and yes I have dropped games in the first month because they were so thoroughly buggy that it was past any hope of enjoyment.

Up the top just above the News section, there is a Game Options.

Go to Game Options > Repair, works every time.

Actually it doesn't. I've tried that, i've tried deleting and restoring version files, i've even completely reinstalled from discs. I'm still getting Error 209.

Dunno what to say to you then, it works for me and I have logged out several times to change addons etc and have suggested the fix to others in guild and its worked for them.

I read a post last night that does seem to work. If you get that error, don't repair. Just close & reopen the launcher until you get the PLAY button. I had that error pop up last night 2-3 times, but did this method to get past it.

I get the play button (after getting 209 error), but when I get to the log in screen it reads, "Could not retrieve announcements," and when I attempt to log in, I get errors 201, and 200...

The error doesn't seems too happen constantly for me anymore, I can get the launcher to work once every 5 to 10 tries I restart it. Since it does work every so often I'm not sure the patching was bad or the launcher and game is corrupt. I wonder if some of their patching servers have bad manifests.

That is new as of this morning then. Wasn't getting 201 or 200 last night, only the 209 error.

This morning it's just a repeated Error 209

I have the same thing going on here too. I've tried the "repair" tool that doesn't do anything, closing re-opening the launcher etc. nothing works. Always a 209 error. If for some reason I am magically able to get to the log in I get a 201 error or a never ending logging in window. This is so frustrating!

I got the 209 error yesterday after maintenance. Tried all the steps, finally tried uninstalling and re-downloading. I keep getting error 209. I am given the repair button, but it won't process the repair it just errors out after a second or two.

Then I try the suggested community steps again. I finally am able to hit repair, and this time the repair not only checks the files, but it proceeds to begin downloading the entire game client. When I click on game options, it shows that it is still repairing.

So I do what ESO says, I uninstall via the launcher. I finally able to repair, and now the repair wants to download the client AGAIN. Submitted ticket, but this is exhausting.

With so many free to play games now, it is very frustrating to be unable to login to a game I have paid £50 ~and~ paying a subscription. Perhaps we will have some extra time added to our subscription.
