Swapping weapons / skill bars [Improvement]

Would you please make a change for the current weapon swap mechanics which would work as follows:

If player has a weapon equipped in weapon slot(s) 1 and nothing in weapon slot(s) 2 however does have skills on the second bar could it please be changed so only the skill bar changes when 'swapping' while keeping the weapons equipped so if you would like to use two bars full of skills for the same weapon one should not need to go hunt for another same weapon to slot it for the second skill bar.

Please.

    Generalisation of this:
    Could you make it so I can equip the same weapon item in both Slots? (not needing two idenitcal weapons and enchantments).
    In case of Dual Wiled/Sword and Shield, could you make it so that one or both of them can be assigned for both Slots? (You might want to share the main weapon when switching S+S to Dual).

    Somewhat related to this, I would like to see some improvements to the responsiveness of the swapping. A lot of the time it takes I swap and press a skill on that bar, but the swapping has not been fully completed so I use a different skill or no skill at all. This happens to me a lot and messes me up. Maybe it is possible to improve the queuing of skills when swapping.

    Bind it to the keyboard, it's more responsive then.

    I was phenomenally disappointed when the skill bar swap didn't work as the OP describes when I hit level 15. I really wanted to have a single target bar and AoE-focused bar on my archer so that I could have the right skills at my fingertips - but still continue using my bow for both.

    I'm really kind of shocked that it was implemented in this fashion - I mean, I could equip two identical bows to get the effect, so it's not like the concept is verboten, just not implemented well.

    I have mixed feelings on the limited ability bars in general - I can't help feeling that the choice here has more to do with having the game available on consoles than it has to do with gameplay choices. (That being said, the limited number of skill points certainly drives one to focus, but being able to swap to a couple of different contexts - like AoE versus Single Target or "oh crap I need my heals" vs. straight DPS - just makes sense even with such limited abilities.)

    I could barely use weapon swap in Cyrodiil last night. Would literally take up to 10 seconds to recognize or see the swap. The hot bar would change instantly but not the action or the characters visual.

    Bind it to the keyboard, it's more responsive then.
    Weapon swap is by default bound to the key left of the 1 (what it is varries heavily by keyboard layout).
    But even orders from that one can somtimes get lost "lost". I often cannot instantly swap after stopping to attck - the animations are still running.
    This might be intentional actually, prevent too easy weapon swaps and thus requiring tactical planning.

    Current estimates asume the total number of Skillpoints avalible is 300+
    With about 150 being rather easily avalible. Mastering a Skilltree with passives and morphs costs slightly over 20 Points.

    While it might be partially based around console adaptibility, having only a 5+Ulty appraoch does work nice with WASD control. Anything right of the 5 is usually hard to reach without taking hand from cotnrolls. In SWTOR and similar "wide bar" MMO I jsut hit everything right of 4 with the Mouse.

    Thinking about it, it might actually be the action combat system that forces the limitation to such a number of slots. Neverwitner Nights Online, DC Universe, Wildstar, and now ESO. All Action Combat systems. All about same number of slots (Useables+5+Ultimate).

    As much as people like to bash MMOs with global cooldowns on spells, this is one of the downsides of not having global cooldowns.

    I'm not sayin its a bad thing but its something that just makes this game a bit harder. Every spell has different animations, every spell has a different delay. Some spells delays end before their visuals end, some don't.

    Again ,not a bad thing, a different thing, but it makes for a lot of inconsistencies and its another thing to pay attention and learn. I *** this up when i try to switch weapons before a spells animation has fully ended.

    Agree with OP

    More preset bars too please. I'll pay in-game dollars for the privilege. Not asking for extra bars that are swappable in combat, but preconfigured bars to make it less of a chore to change roles from tank, healer, DPS, AoE, etc.
