Wouldn't that mean that you'd have to spread the word anyway ?

Not if you are the author affected by the change.
Aside from that there are many authors who use abandoned addons themselves and may look into how to fix them in case they would break or may prepare a fix for a maintained addon of an author who isn't in on the program and send them the proposed fix once the game update is live so they can update it faster.

Do you really work in such closse cooperation ?
That's great.
I use every opportunity to say this so I'll say it again now : you addon authors are just plain great ! Thank you all.

It would be really nice if changes like this that happen in an incremental instead of a major patch gets documented in the patch notes, @ZOS_GinaBruno. We kinda expect addon-breaking changes in major quarterlies, but not in incrementals, so call-outs of changes that affect incrementals are necessary.

So you key logged the griefers using this and we can soon expect rounds of bans forth coming.

What is wrong with the game. i cannot talk at all.

It seems turning off all your chat-related addons fixes the problem. Least that's what they were saying in zone chat today.
I don't use addons so I wouldn't know. But since chat is working the same for me as it always has, they are probably right.
They already banned a bunch of people for it. There was a thread a few days ago with someone complaining that all of these "innocent" PVPers got unfairly banned for force-lagging out other players.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »sirinsidiator wrote: »This is caused by a change to the chat system in today's update. You won't get banned for that. The people who got banned were the ones who knew about this issue and were exploiting it to lag out other players.I did nothing.. im just usedZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »sirinsidiator wrote: »This is caused by a change to the chat system in today's update. I've heard through the grapevine that they got permabanned, but I don't actually know anyone who got banned so take that with a massive grain of salt because it's 3rd hand info and should not be trusted to be accurate.Given that counting as exploit does those who abused it got ordinary 3 days ban or permabanned?
