Missing Bank Items, Bank Slots, & Skill Points

    Are you guys imperial or preorder players? A common symptom so far seems to be that people are receiving duplicate imperial and preorder items in the mail as the bug hits.

    If you are imperial or preorder I highly recommend removing ALL gold and all items in excess of 60 from your banks. Seriously. You can put them back when they fix it.

    Yea. I have had items disappear from my inventory and the 100 bank slots reduced to 60 problems. My biggest annoyance is I have lost a full week, 60 hours of trying to add to my Alliance Points and I am stuck at 40850. I have reported this bug three times to the Devs as a bug. I have not gotten any response.

    I guess they have their hands full. I would hate to have to start a new character and loose my level 22 character.

    JessicaFolsom can you tell me what I have to do? Do I have to start a new character?

    Curious, should I not touch anything in the bank at all until its fixed?

    I have not received any email confirmation of my ticket at all... Not even a "Resolved" message. I'm feeling left out... ;-)
    And I'm wondering if my ticket really exists or not...

    I wish the customer support would offer more than a generic response. It would go a long way to making me feel confident in the abilities of the game team to set things right. I've asked direct questions about gold and item returns twice now via the above ticket number. First time: ignored. Second time: your ticket has been escalated to tech support. But still, no answer. I want to give the people running things every chance to set it right, but I'd appreciate a response to my ticket that was actually directed specifically at me. Also, the second response even acknowledged that the first response to my ticket was mishandled, along with the fact that it was erroneously marked as solved. It's hard to know where I stand within the customer support system right now.

    I'm an Imperial preorder (physical version), have upgraded my bank to 70, and have not yet had the problem happen to me *knock on wood*. However, since I have seen that it is being patched tomorrow during maintenance, I think I will just play it safe and play Diablo 3 tonight instead of ESO. I don't have much time to play during my Sat-Tue work week anyway (Wed-Fri off), so a night off when I'd only have an hour or two anyway isn't a huge loss.

    So I try to ask a simple question like "should I be spending my skill points in the meantime before I get my original skill points restored?" and all I get is that same damn generic "we are fixing the bank slots issue". I DONT CARE ABOUT THE DAMN BANK SLOTS GIVE ME MY SKILL POINTS BACK. No feedback in the forums. Bullcrap auto-respond emails. WORST CS EVER!

    My alliance points have been stuck at 40850 for a full 60 hours of PvP in Cyrodiil. You are losing skill points, I am losing advancement points. I know how you feel.

    I get what you are saying @hungryhippos, making demands, even reasonable ones, is never a good policy when it comes to dealing with a CSR. Frankly, they are caught in the middle with little actual power beyond forwarding tickets to the appropriate QA teams. Ham-fisted canned replies not withstanding, players should be cutting the CSRs, and even the CS robots, a lot of slack if for no other reason than they are they only conduit we have for getting these bugs seen by those people that can actually help us. There is nothing to be gained by berating anyone.

    However despite being misdirected, I do feel that a good deal of the player rage and angst is in fact justified. From a player's perspective, the bank bug alone is a game breaking, take-the-servers-offline-until-it-is-fixed, bug in and of itself, but the skill-point loss bug is infinitely worse. I can't even imagine the rage I would feel if I had a VR-level character that had all his skill points siphoned away.

    Until the devs can resolve whatever database error is causing these bugs to occur, the higher-ups at ZOS have to weigh the bad press they would receive if they took the game completely offline against the bad PR of affected players permanently rage-quitting the game because their stuff and skills have disappeared. Not an easy decision, but I fear the suits are making the wrong call.

    If nothing else, they should be taking the game down for emergency patches whenever one is available, but in my (admittedly biased and uninformed) opinion, ESO should be offline until this is fixed. Note however, that this is all from the perspective of a player that has been hit by the bank bug. As such, it matters little to me whether the servers are up or down. ESO is completely unplayable until this bug has been fixed.

    I understand it seems like they don't have a definitive fix? But rather a theoretical one?

    Should this work, what is the plan on resolving missing stuff for every impacted player?

    Right now it seems like such a mess with some players filing multiple tickets and mostly due to the fairly generic, repetitive CSR responses and tickets incorrectly closed.

    Still missing all purchased bank slots and many of my items, mostly crafting mats and some gear with traits I needed to research. Luckily I had some mats on my main and alts.

    I had a little gold in the bank that was lost too but it was a small amount, less than 2000 is the best I can recall of the amount I had. It was for my BS alt to purchase some crafting mats from the BS vendor.

    I hate to say this but the only we can get their attention to fix the problems is by canceling subscriptions. I will wait until after tomorrows update/fix/maintenance and then start the cancel subscription if the bank issue is not addressed.

    I have just been affected by this issue also.
    I had 90 slots in my bank with almost 80 stacks of items there.

    Then I logged on one of my low level characters (level 8 ), and it showed I had only 60 slots and only 1 item in the bank.

    Then I logged back on my crafter character (level 22).
    He also shows 60 slots, but with 60 slots in use. So I miss 30 slots plus the items in the last slots.

    I also got 2 mails with treasure maps and vanity pets, which I have gotten once already.

    To me it looks like logging on to my low level triggered the bug.
    I HAVE used him before without problems though.

    Imperial Pre-Order and BETA user. Not sure if that helps.

    But this is VERY annoying problem. I won't spend gold on getting those slots again based on all the forum posts of it happening multiple times.

    On the plus side another set of pets and more treasure maps in the double Email package. LOL

    I did not get pre-order nor do I have imperial but it happened to me. I am only getting mad because there are no real updates and the feedback in emails are counter-productive to poor at best. With soo many people paying for this game and a lot of them are having this problem they should, at the very least, give us some information....

    It sounds as though having 100 slots on a main character and then logging in a new character with only 60 slots is resetting the slot number to 60 for all characters. This is a programming bug.

    A second problem affected me when they reset my account at the end of Early Access: My Alliance Points stuck. I have been at 40850 Alliance Points since they reset my account.

    This does not explain other missing points and items. The whole account system seems to be bugged. Or someone is hacking it.

    I received a few mails today from a GM giving me back some lost items, but I'm still short my bank upgrade, and the GM I spoke to yesterday advised me against sucking it up and rebuying it... but I might have to, it's painful stuck at 60.

    It's pretty much getting to that point for a majority affected by the game-breaking bugs. Were it just a handful i'd say the game would continue without too much of a hiccup, but we're in the tens of thousands at this point affected by various issues.

    I'm personally giving them until the maintenance tomorrow to solve the bank and skill bugs. At that point there will be players who haven't had a solution in over two weeks, which is absolutely unacceptable in today's technological, public relations and customer service environments. If they can't manage to call in consultants or keep people in constant overtime until these things are solved once and for all, they're not interested in the millions being lost from cancellations I guess.

    I truly wish things were improving, not disintegrating, as this game is and could be incredible.

    I still don't have any of the items I lost back, although I did receive a duplicate Ring of Mara in the mail, so I guess that's one out of sixty restored.

    I've opened multiple tickets, all of which have been marked "solved" even though nothing has been done.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, the most recent ticket to be shut down is this one: 140405-044878

    Please do whatever you can to move things along. It's been nearly two weeks since my first bank wipe, and nothing has been done except to send me messages promising help, and then closing the tickets without doing anything. I understand that there will be bugs, but we need quick resolution when they happen. I won't be renewing my subscription when my 30 days expire if none of the lost items are returned. A game about collecting cool gear where your gear randomly disappears and customer service can't help you get it back isn't much of a game at all.

    I would also love a comment on how or what they plan on doing with all the lost time switching between bank alts, transferring items, etc. As I've stated in some previous posts, I spend about 30% of my time transferring items between my toon and my bank toons. The login/logout process alone chews up countless minutes.
