Or you could stop chasing the meta?

These changes really aren’t that significant.

They went above and beyond with even granting free tokens.

I stopped a long time ago. Best decision. Having little time to play but still chasing the meta is just infuriating. I'm playing for a few hours nearly every day for nearly 3 years and I'm still CP 740. Why? There are a lot of stuff to do that does not involve veteran trials.

I don't understand the outrage. A glaring example of 1rst world problems and blatant entitlement.

Zos owns the game and didn't need to give us anything. Reading comprehension goes a long way as well.

Nobody is getting ripped off. I don't know why you'd expect to be able to pick from all races with a race change token if you can only pick from 3 per alliance when creating a new character.

The Adventurer pack contains 'any race, any alliance' and is only 1900 crowns. Anyone with ESO+ should have the crowns and most people would have spent far more than that on assistants, mounts and crates.

How does it financially impact you? You don't HAVE to change your race. You yourself have said you don't care about questing, reading, lore, etc. Just grind out a new character. It takes a couple of hours to get to 50 and move on.

While I do agree on the fact that you don't have to change your race, you are being a little bit dishonest here. A boring as heck grind with the dolmens might bringyou back to 50 in a few hours, allright, but what about the riding lessons, fighters / mages guild, undaunted and what not ? Or alliance war skills, for that matter. If someone uses any of those skills, it's gonna take way more time.

So, for those people for whom it really matters to be on top, it's either regrind sh*t forever or pay. Even more so if they weren't already owners of the "any race any alliance" unlock.

Omg, fact that somebody prepared ton of master writs and then during 2x event managed to exploit to lvl 50 in few hours doesn't mean that everybody can do it. Actually it's ~ 10 hours of heavy and tiresome grind to get from lvl 3 to lvl 50 with dolmens/craglorn/random dailies etc, also you need character slot which is not cheap at all. And of course you need to grind undaunted/mages/psijic/fighters/skill lines/ all morphs to 4 etc etc etc, it's huge ton of time and work.

Boo Hoo 10 whole hours to max level? What ever will you do?

This is clearly a cash grab when ZoS is giving away 3 free tokens which equals almost $80 American currency now multiply that by the number of player across all consoles ZoS is actually looking to lose a substantial sum of money only offset by the players who buy the araa pack. Yes they are getting money from people for the dlc but the patch they make nothing on it. ZoS will still profit mainly because of the dungeon dlc but when you look at what your getting in return with the patch that requires no purchase can you still call this a cash grab.

Don't need to boo hoo. Explain how you will level up in 2 hours and how much this will cost you.
And you ignored this part - "undaunted/mages/psijic/fighters/skill lines/ all morphs to 4". Only loading screens between wayshrines for all psijic locations and mage guild books will take 2 hours :D and oops.. fast move between wayshrines is in case you got friend which you don't like so much that ready to ask him to spend several hours of life just to tp you across all tamriel.

There's a $13 Walmart PC Edition on eBay with the cloth map and the Explorer Pack. Free US shipping.

That's the set to keep an eye out for if you really want Any Race at a discount. Many of those sets hit clearance and were eventually reduced down to the $5 to $9 range.

    $25 DLC what?

You have 3, free, tokens to re-choose between the original races you had available to you. Simple, and quite generous

My personal opinion is that the OP shouldn't be given something for free I myself paid for (any race, any alliance adventurer pack). But in all fairness when the OP was first creating their character they had a choice of joining any of the three alliances and thus actually had every race but Imperial to choose from. If I hadn't had friends on EP when I came to the game I doubt I'd have cared which alliance I was in and would have just started a character based purely on racial attributes.

OK, if you feel the need to FULLY Level, it may take you a week to 10 days - except for the horse training. If you can't do it that fast or efficiently, you don't even deserve to be at max level and it becomes a L2L or L2G issue.

You want to be on the leaderboard - as long as it is free and easy. How about enjoying the amazing game that has been provided?

Why would people rather displace the blame on ZOS for their own misunderstanding and just say hey, I'm disappointed because I misunderstood what I was being given. I forgot that I do not own the game upgrade unlocking all races all alliances. I feel bad because I got excited at the prospect of picking a new race because I was unhappy with my current one for one reason or another.

Is that so hard to say, people??

And if they didn't give you free race change tokens, you'd be complaining about not getting those. Some content in the game needs to be paid for, and though the any race any alliance isn't what I would call content that adds to the game, you're instead paying for convenience, which is a staple in MMOs.

Economics 101 : you can't lose money if whatever you're handing has zero production cost. As there are no materials involved, no manufacturing, no transformation of any kind, they can't lose a cent. I think the proper word for that in english is "shortfall", or "loss of income", maybe, but not a net loss.

Also, your maths are wrong. To calculate that shortfall, you'd need to know exactly how many people would have indeed purchased those tokens. Lots of people simply wouldn't have. I know I am now sitting on 3 tokens I probably will never use.

Let's make it clear : I don't think OP is right in any way.

But am I still calling that whole mess a cash grab. By shifting stats around like that, ZOS is giving an incentive to people who care enough about stats to change races. And because the description of race change token is really not all that clear (as are many descriptions in the crown store, actually, consider the assistants which are nowhere described as account wide, or the outfit unlocks that are nowhere described as per character), people were led to assume they could change race at will. Which is a thinly veiled incentive to purchase ARAA.

Also also, when calculating the "loss" for ZOS in that, you forgot to factor the number of people who would have rage-quitted, thus negating some of the current and further income for the company, should they not have been able to switch races.

TLDR : you know nothing, John Snow. Not about economics, anyway.

OP doesn't ask for race change token, then gets mad when it doesn't do what he thinks it should. Maybe, just don't use them, and you're right back where you were when you didn't ask for them.

Hi I don't think its fair , we cant change our race to whatever we chose, with the game tokens, after the latest patch, without a bloody 25 dollar dlc

most of us never asked for the race changes, well I certainly didn't, and I feel my choice is now a bit of let down after this update, be fair Zenermax/ Bethesda and stop

trying to make a buck off everything in the game, this really highlights their greed.

Life's not fair. You even say in your OP that you didn't ask for one -which means you don't really even care.

Stop stirring drama up on something that you don't even care about.

You stop. OP has every right to voice his complaint when getting ripped off.
Please stop misinforming people, thanks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh right sorry. You are not pigeon holed into having to purchase an upgrade if you want to use your free change race token and have an option of choosing from more than two different races.

“I'm not going to read anything. It's not important to me. I don't read or listen to anything in the game. I don't care about any of it. All I want to do is use free race change token to switch to new race that is not the two that I have a choice of without paying money because the company gave me something called a change race token. But I can't do that. The change race token is very misleading.”

Literally your own quote ^ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also I already bought ARAA months ago. Stop misinforming people

This is why there should be a clear mag, stam, and tank race in each alliance, with Imperials being hybrid.

Right, he PAID for it already, you did not so you do not have the option for any race, any alliance. You are not entitled to something you DID NOT PAY FOR.

You may as well stop trying to use logic or reason. It just can't get through to some people.
