But this time on PS4. Will my PC progress be available when logging into the PS4 version using the same ESO credentials?

Don't you have to make a new account for PS4 ?
Even if not, your progress will not be available on different plattforms.

I'd guess if you have been 5 years away your progress shouldn't be so much.

    Anyways, welcome to ps4

Ah that's too bad. Although tbh I didn't get very far. As anyone who can recall when the game first came out, it was... shall we say less than stellar.

I hear nothing but great things nowadays so figured I'd give it another shot.

Actually yes. I've been a registered forum user since Feb 2014 so technically it's been exactly 5 years (month-wise).

But, what progress could you have made? The game was still in beta.

    In five years...
    Levels have changed
    PvE Alliance restrictions are gone
Soft caps gone, and stats multiplied by 10
Several skills have changed or been replaced
Some boss level enemies are now easier, base world bosses are slightly harder
Gear cap raised, but hasn't changed again in a long while
    You can steal and murder
New systems like jewlery crafting, dye station, outfits, and trader kiosks
Cooking was streamlined and you can make poisons now
There are level up rewards now, and the tutorial has been updated
There have been several changes to PvP, new locations to capture, and AP can be banked
    There are battlegrounds now
Also 12 player trials and arenas have been added
The story of some of the earlier quests may now be different than how you remember
And subscriptions are now optional, but comes with a lot of perks, especially for storage management

OMG!!! Look how much our lil game has grown! So many things I'd forgotten were not in base game. <3

Primary example of the last item = craft bag.

You're also no longer relegated to your faction's progression line/zones aren't leveled. Battleleveling is a thing. Check out all the changes with One Tamriel - it was a doozy.

    Crafting writs...

Good lord. It's changed so much!

as a PS4 player I say, if youre starting over completely just do it on pc. So much more QOL stuff there. Although to be fair, they are adding some stuff soon to help out in that department.

Yes, I was in Beta and played for several months after launch. I've been a forum user for 5 years, but rounded up a little to describe how long it's been since actually playing the released game. Everyone is very precise around here

Oh that's right. They did add text chat to consoles.

There are also a number of things that have been added to the base game that you used to need add-ons for. Things like scrolling combat numbers, nameplates, visual buff/debuff trackers to the main UI, and numbers and percentages on resource and health bars. There is also a basic build guide, and coming soon are zone guides and trader text search.

Also housing. Houses were added. And horse training became character based instead of horse based, and you can max all three stats now. Plus there are things other the horses you can ride. It's, it's been a lot.

Well you could be lucky and your PC account was copied to PS4 as well. I only know I copied to PS4 but somehow I got an Xbox copy automatically back then (didn't even own an Xbox at that time).

We console players are just fine without all those add-ons PC players require. To us, PC is an abbreviation for Plenty of Crutches. The YouTube videos of PC players running Trials make us giggle. But thanks for your concern :=

Welcome back. Sorry that you are on console so I can't help with stuff. The biggest change is One Tamriel. Good in many ways, sucks story wise. I suggest that you play the game from the beginning in the way that it was originally meant to be played. Here is a good guide: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/413807/what-order-should-i-do-esos-story-arcs-a-guide
