^ That is what I wanted to say. But I :x because I didn't want to insult the console players (you poor things).

We console players are just fine without all those add-ons PC players require. To us, PC is an abbreviation for Plenty of Crutches. The YouTube videos of PC players running Trials make us giggle. But thanks for your concern :=

    No good deed goes unpunished.

    Quite true.

Welcome back. Sorry that you are on console so I can't help with stuff. The biggest change is One Tamriel. Good in many ways, sucks story wise. I suggest that you play the game from the beginning in the way that it was originally meant to be played. Here is a good guide: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/413807/what-order-should-i-do-esos-story-arcs-a-guide

Interesting. I did play through the Cold Harbor starting area originally but was a little thrown off now that Morrowind is apparently included in the "base" game. So are you saying I should follow that guide from the Cold Harbor area or just follow from the Morrowind starter completion?

Now you start in Summerset if you’ve got that chapter. World keeps changing.

Ah that's too bad. Although tbh I didn't get very far. As anyone who can recall when the game first came out, it was... shall we say less than stellar.

I hear nothing but great things nowadays so figured I'd give it another shot.

It's entirely different game and worth your time now for sure.

I would follow the guide that I linked. It is just an awesome all encompassing story, one of the greatest in gamedom. Some of the subsequent chapters and DLC have been good but nothing compares to the original.

OK excellent. It wasn't very clear on how I could get back to Cold Harbour but apparently if I can just get myself to a major city, a "hooded figure" will kick off the quest line for me. I've gotten a little way into VVardenfell but I don't think I'm too far in to head back over to Cold Harbour. I do like a linear, cohesive story though so this is great.

Don't you have to make a new account for PS4 ?
Even if not, your progress will not be available on different plattforms.

No, it let me link my previous account, but indeed none of my progress persisted. I'm not exactly sure what linking the accounts even does tbh... I mean what's the point if I still can't get access to my previous characters.

Thanks. Actually, I kind of like the "old school" feel of the UI on PS4. For instance if I want to know what an ability on my hotbar does, I actually have to wade into the menus rather than just hovering my mouse over it. The one thing that might end up being a deal breaker though is the chat. I don't want to sit there and have to type out everything using a controller - that's tedious as hell.

    LOL!!

I cannot type fast enough with a damn keyboard infront of me! :)

Hate to necro this old thread but one other question is bugging me. At what point does the Harborage questline begin? I started in Morrowind but per some guides, transported to a major city and spoke with the "hooded character". Finished the into Cold Harbor escape and spoke to the prophet upon waking up.

The prophet basically told me, 'hey go out and do stuff' but I'm now level 12 and haven't heard anything from, or about him anymore.

Is that normal? Have I missed a quest along the line that prompts me to head to the harborage and start the whole Molag Bal thing?

    EDIT:
HA, talk about timing. I posted this, started playing again and 5 minutes into it reached Davon's Watch and the Harborage quest automatically popped up.

Depending on what faction you play he will appear to you as vision near the gates of Daggerfall Davons Watch and Vulkhel Guard and tell you to visit him in the harborage...

If in doubt walk or port to the Harborage

The quest line is here. Watch out for spoilers!

You may also find this to be a treasure trove of information.

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too. - Douglas Adams

    In five years...
    Levels have changed
    PvE Alliance restrictions are gone
Soft caps gone, and stats multiplied by 10
Several skills have changed or been replaced
Some boss level enemies are now easier, base world bosses are slightly harder
Gear cap raised, but hasn't changed again in a long while
    You can steal and murder
New systems like jewlery crafting, dye station, outfits, and trader kiosks
Cooking was streamlined and you can make poisons now
There are level up rewards now, and the tutorial has been updated
There have been several changes to PvP, new locations to capture, and AP can be banked
    There are battlegrounds now
Also 12 player trials and arenas have been added
The story of some of the earlier quests may now be different than how you remember
And subscriptions are now optional, but comes with a lot of perks, especially for storage management

Well pvp and performance are absolute ***. @Nate if you are someone more focused towards pvp, run for the hills. If not then you should have a great time.. But overall performance is pretty bad on console. If there is any way to avoid console you should. Even end game pve is plagued by bad performance issues. Plus the game is much more optimized on PC, gets everything faster than console, and zos just general treats PC better than console. I play both and its like night and day.

This thread is not that old to be considered a necro. As to your question,

Old way: you would get prompted upon returning to the main city, Daggerfall, Valkle Guard, Davon's Watch, every 5th level.

Currently: Post One Tamriel you just need to return to those cities, poping into the way shrine will do it. No level requirements.

Your Harborage will be based on your character's alliance.
