Will there ever be another PVP DLC again ?

    Theres no question that the majority of marketing pre-launch and for the first half year or so focused mainly on PvP, but the company has clearly pivoted away from PvP entirely since the IC relaunch.

    They gave up on their starting player base and built the game in a new direction; It's just frustrating that they saw PvP players as $$$$ cow's until they filled the game with enough PvE content to be marketable to the Skyrim fan base. But at this point too many players that cared about PvP, unsurprisingly, gave up on ZoS and are not looking back.

    tbh i dont even insinuate ZOS to having used pvpers as a cash grab. it wouldnt have made sense to hire the main DAoC devs if that was the plan from the start. i think they just legit underestimated how much money roleplayers are willing to spend on useless pve/vanity stuff that requires little to no dev time while at the same time they completely underestimated the amount of work it takes to balance a game like this in pvp. on top of that we are stuck with this horrific engine/netcode that creates massive problems in pvp. with the money and ressources it takes to fix just the engine you can literally create pve garbage dlc´s and useless polymorphs/costumes for the next 10 years and roleplayers will throw unreal amounts of cash at them for that crap.

    and at that point we havent even touched pvp balance.

    Yah ummm i dont really care about all that noise about the past anymore. I would just like to know from @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_BrianWheeler @ZOS_JessicaFolsom or anybody at Zeni if there will ever be another pvp dlc again. If not that's cool, I'm just not wasting my time on this anymore.


    And a pvp dlc is another area with new balanced objectives against other players solo, small and large with 0 focus towards pve and 100% focus towards the objective and killing enemy's with no training wheels with faction loyalty not guild loyalty. Players shouldn't have to play politics in a game to get stuff. This isnt high school as the pvers control Cyrodiil now with 500 player guilds on EP-DC-AD going into rotations. Not upgrades to the current pvp state a new area please.

    And il take no answer as a confirmation of there will be no pvp dlc ever again. With the avg cp at 88per year Im over 1100k cp so im good until 2022 if that ever happens, and if it does hopefully i have forgotten about this and im not playing games anymore.

    honestly if the next pvp related DLC will also suffer from the current state of instabilty it would better if ZOS not even think about realeasing and other one, untill the existent one is not getting a prema fix. Untill then who knows.

    You realize this is a PVE game with PVP tossed in to appeal to a few more people right? Since a majority of players do mostly or only PVE, i dont see you getting more than a bone thrown to pvp every once in a while, lately that has been in form of battlegrounds and changes to battlegrounds. Battlegrounds are a year old, they recently when to no CP to make them more competitive with new maps added and with summerset even more people will be able to access them meaning more people to play with.

    I doubt they will spend the resources on making a pvp centric DLC because its not going to be real profitable to do so.

    Do you realise they marketed this game as top tier end game pvp?? Guess u werent here when they did.

    probably not. ZOS really *** their PvP community with repeated poor balancing choices. As it is today it's not worth investing anything in, it's not lively enough and there are not enough PvPers remaining to warrant it.

    it's an ever declining population that's honestly not gonna survive Wrobel for much longer.

    The PVP community is not large enough to warrant the level of resources that a DLC would entail.

    Until they lure enough players back to it (and it's only been a shrinking community), I do not think they will do more than adjust numbers (skill changes, class updates, gear nerfs, etc) here and there during major patches.

    I mean it only “shrinks” because they haven’t done anything mind blowing to change cyro drastically.

    Then the lag, ball zergs, repetitive emp ring. It really takes a specific interest to subject yourself to vivec day in and day out

    Definitely. Few businesses grow without investment. Cyrodiil isn't in bad shape because the players abandoned it. Players abandoned Cyrodiil because it's in bad shape.

    ZOS management chose this path. It was an unethical decision they should be ashamed of because they have failed to deliver the product they sold to us when they have the resources to make it right.

    Probably not Its a fact that ZOS hates PvP in there game I'm suprised we got battlegrounds well probably get new battleground arenas often but that's probably it I wouldn't count on getting anything new for Cyrodill PvP we might get an IC overall but once again PVP is the least of ZOS priorities.

    1. Fix lag, bugs, and expoits in a timely fashion
    2. regularly refresh PvP rewards and incentivize diverse activity (new quest boards next patch are a decent example of that).

    Literally all that's needed.

    This 100%. I was so cheerful when I heard Brian Wheeler speaks about battlegrounds the first time in a TESO live session on Twitch. Then I read on the patch notes that it would be a AvAvA matchup which got me very disappointed. Then when it first got released I joined one and realized how small and arcadish the map was and I never came back.

    It should have been 2 teams. It should have been a large map, with 2 "bases" on both sides with a large open area in the middle for fair engagements. It should have been 8players or more per team. They really messed it up.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
    • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade
    • Fix Rams going crazy (spinning around)
    • Bring back dynamic ulti regeneration
    • Fix speed bug (abilities locked)

    I prefer eso making dlc, especially for PvP. I believe ESO makes good decision when not make PvP dlc. It will come in the future sure. But if you want it now. Could ask the scammers to do it for you. (virus, other things.) also you'll get banned, whilst scammers gladly take your money. They laugh at you to with pleasure. Be very aware. Trust in ZOS, we will get dlc for PvP. If not our life time, then our Childrens and or Children's children life time. That would be a lot of ESO upgrades, that is if, eso surpasses Destiny in its lifetime. Just remember have the F.B.S (fun, be patient and stay safe)

    We can pretend bgs is the new improved version of pvp, but frankly cyrodiil is the real pvp that really care about. I would just like to see some cyrodiil additions and possible some map changes. Add more to do in cyrodiil besides towns and keeps

    Yea I had what is called "writers block" lol every writer gets it. But seriously though I really believe, least hope ESO would surpass Destiny. I believe Destiny said like 10 yr term? How many terms is ESO? We unsure right? :) but looking back to Elder Scrolls franchise. When I was a wee little lad. Especially Elder Scrolls was actually mobile in the past for certain hand held. Now Skyrim on Nintendo (writer block) something. The future of ESO and other Elder Scrolls Franchise. Future is mobile. But I do trust ZOS though, especially with PvP. no offense.

    PvP died after Anti-Cheat-Patch 1.2 - PvP support died after the game became free to play. The focus of the game radically shifted. Instead of it being a war game, the game is focussed on PvE land. >':
