Some of them got a three day suspension. Some of them got a permanent ban. The latter, in cases where they had priors with the ToS people. No one knows what the split was.

So, for those who got suspended, it is a second chance to not exploit the game in the future. A good portion of them will do it anyway. For them, a permanent ban is in their future. It is just a matter of time.

Those who do get the lesson, and intend to keep that halo polished, have a big target on their back. The next significant ToS violation they get caught for is a permanent ban. I expect that these suspension "strikes" don't time out. They could go three years without a problem and one time, just one time, they mess up in something they whisper to another player, and poof, years of playing the game gone, and not just Ranks. Years of DLC, Chapters, costumes, houses, achievements, and mounts. If they came from Subscription ESO, a year of loyalty rewards. If they were in the beta, the beta rewards.

So, yeah, they get off "easy" today, but if they intend to stick around for a while, they have to be extra careful what they do.

I think the best part is if you exploited the banker survey months ago plus exploited AP Boosting you got a perma ban...strike one if you only AP boosted and I hope they are fearful on the next exploit because I'd bet these people will exploit in the future who got banned today.

We all know it's a matter of time for another exploit I hope these people have harsher punishments.

They actually banned this many people for something so tedious but they ignore all the 100s of ce users that openly flew around cyro dropping meators like Zeus. This is pathetic they actually lifted most if not all ce users bans.

Well, i did run with my guild all days of that week and EVERY big guild i know about did the same thing in TF:
-Fight.
-Flip keeps were there was less resistance.
-Flip keeps with some resistance.
-Open field GvG skirmishes (those were awesome).
-Farm noobs in the bridge (and eventually get farmed too).
-Go easy on defenses, since they were giving little ap.
-Wait for groups to flip keeps and then surprise bomb the flags.

I know very few that truly hate the players of other factions but in general we kept the right balance between good AP and being competitive, after all good guilds in TF are very proud and wouldnt settle for being quiet and waiting our turn to flip flags mindlessly...

Yea well cheat engine is still being used with people make new accounts. So yea what's the point, you haven't even deleted their rank. Those who sold motifs get no punishment from loss of AP since they spent it already.

Just name and shame, get over the reluctance to.

Wow , that sounds grand . I wish I could transfer a toon EU . I have to temporarily ignore a lot of zone chat while people fight it out with each other . Then I have to un ignore on Mondays because some our nice people to me but rant on weekends and I can't read Cyrodiil related news in the zone feed . Some get mad when they find out I put them on ignore so I could read the fights . They don't know it's just temporary . So it's an exercise in politeness all the time explaining myself . If people would fight via PM it would make my PVP time so much easier but .. Some like an audience . That would be so weird not seeing so many arguments . I would enjoy it .

Its good action was taken but when everyone was begging for an answer on if its allowed or not and totally ignored it. Then 1 month later its like oh yeah remember when you farrmed AP? It was bad take your ban lol.


At least communicate with people at the time its going on.
