Should have at least ban first 5 on the scorebord and people that got emp on haderus. Would be only fair.
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
    And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
    Ends life, kills laughter.

    Why stop there?
Just ban everyone who logged into pvp last weeks since they had an unfair advantage over those that didn't have the time to play during double ap event.

Calls for the ban-hammer are a little extreme. The higher AP gains from capturing keeps/resources were intentionally added by ZOS to promote objective based play. It's an intended game mechanic.
The fact that ZOS didn't add anything to prevent players from flipping keeps/outposts over and over again is yet another example of how little thought is put into changes that they implement, and perhaps an example of the developers astounding naivete when it comes to expectations that the player base will police itself.
The added stupidity of a Double AP event immediately after adding this easily exploitable game mechanic....well....there are no words for that kind of stupidity.

Got any proof for that? Also grey area is per definition not illegal so nothing zos should do about that. Whatever you mean with that.

Honestly the most fair thing to do is reset their rank and banked AP to what it was before. We know they can track how much AP players made because they removed the amount of AP players made from black boot mine from their banked AP. Would love to see them ban people for this but I think a ban is a little over the top. Maybe AP reset and a week suspension for anyone who made over 10m AP in the area of an outpost.

Zenimax is aware of the the AP leechers in Haderus for quite some time, and early on they stated that they didn't intend to do anything about it any time soon. They even actively protected the leechers by banning many (but not all) of the videos showing the hordes of EP/DC players at Bleakers, AD/EP players at Sejanus or AD/DC players at Nikel, claiming those videos were breaking the "no naming and shaming"-rule of the forums.

So bans now would not only be a very surprising move, but also a very unjustified one because even more players ran there once it was clear that Zenimax tolerated and even protected AP leeching.

But of course the Haderus-leechers harm other players, assuming anything else is either naive or outright dishonest.

Market prizes for PVP gear (never high to begin with) are dropping to an all-time low because the leechers got zillions of rewards for afk'ing at an outpost. Honestly earned PVP titles are indistinguishable from leeched ones, making relatively new or unknown players with high PVP ranks subject to suspicion and disregard. Valuable regional gear bought with AP from the regional vendor's crates is loosing its worth because the leechers can spend millions on it.

If ZOS had any integrity and owned up that this event was easily exploitable and overlooked. They would reset the Alliance Rank people earned based on their AP gains this week. you guys might want to consider it if you have any faith for PvP in this game instead of leaving this side of the game ruined by exploits. I personally don't worry about rank, most guys just say it's ranks and overlook it, but take a look at how willing these players are to exploit. And look at the names in some of those screenshots. Top end PvE players who go around saying they hate exploits and want to fix the game.

Good job PvE bois you did well there, just goes to show really that people exploit because they know there is no real consequence to come of it, especially with PvP.

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler @ZOS_RichLambert

If you take their AP away, take the rank away too. If you allow players to do stuff like this, they will turn against you. Not to mention how insulting this is to the EU PVP community.

They need to make keeps harder to take. Takes 2 mins to front door and take a rank 5 keep, that is the issue.

Maybe it was a social experiment (half joking). The results were something psychologists could probably base a thesis or two on.

Funnily enough the European alliances seemed to come together to exploit the bejeebus out of it far more than the NA servers from what I've read before ZoS deleted the posts showing the leaderboard pics from other threads (naming and shaming reasons ZoS?? they were the leaderboards for crying out loud!!). It's hard to believe they are that naive but I think they are. This is the reason we need in game GMs to police the community as diligently as they moderate these very forums. All comes down to economy though in the end€€€$$$.

excuse me, but if you are here to comment you must watch the whole video.

also, if you are salty you can leave your @username so i donate you some moon sugar in-game (only PC EU )

we did a great job and stress tests at the outposts. we found out how horrible the PVP is even without CP, for example, you get disconnected if you approach the role play spot if you were not there when the party started, same with respawning at the outpost once its flipped.

also @Zinaroth i like your signature, the 2nd line, basically- its amazing

we had lots of fun, i expect 99% of salt to come from players who are not in PC EU EP/DC factions but that's understandble.
AD have Zerg Salt and they prevent any AD from participating in roleplay to prevent them from getting ranks - even though we saw @hexis roleplaying at nikel... anyway. the event in total was a delicate for roleplayers/pvers and a success for ZOS staff as they got to test 3 faction fights with over 90% of campaign population on bleakers outpost which never did happen before under any circumstance.
    have a great day.

Any player that became grand overlol without using eye of potato must be banned permanently

Grand overlol rank is meant exclusively for nightblade bombers and/or people who participate in 1 pixel stack on crown battles

If you dont make the whole factions in the campaign on 500 ping, then you dont deserve to be grand overlol, end of story

@L2Pissue nice video, it inspired me to make this reply.

    I'll readily admit I've got L2Pissues.

It took me 1.5 years to reach Alliance Rank 31, of which I used to be so proud, when all I needed to do was roleplaying (that joke never gets old) sitting AFK at Bleakers for a week (or at least since the Homestead patch).

@ZOS_BrianWheeler @ZOS_RichLambert how TF do you think it makes an honest player feel?

Meanwhile in reality, you can make progress on the higher ranks just fine without being a NB or part of a good guild group. Yeah, it's slightly slower but not to the point where it's anywhere near impossible.

ZOS intended outposts to give 6k AP per tick.

Cyrodiil was intended to fight over flags, not take turns flipping them back and forth. If you can't see the exploit, I'd hope a well known guild would ask you to not use their name in your sig.

in having macros (repeatedly preyy enter to open / close chat seems to be enough) / taped down heavy attack prevent logout while going to work / sleeping.

or "exploiting" a stupid idea rather than a bug (which is of course no reason to punish / ban players, but fixing and adjusting is something else, imho). either way, I don't really care.

I don't see it as an exploit. But it's definitely a good idea from ZOS (incentivizing objectives) that was poorly implemented and easily taken advantage of by players who would rather turn Cyrodiil into an AP-gain simulator than a battleground.
