Preferred weapon traits other than sharpened

As everyone knows, it is exceedingly difficult and/or expensive to find sharpened weapons for certain sets. If you preferred sharpened but had to use another trait, which would you choose?

In my own case, I am running S&B/2H on my stamina DK. I have a sharpened 1H axe and and would like a sharpened 2H as well, because I use Reverse Slice on my back bar. Sadly, I haven't been able to find a sharpened 2H weapon yet. I thought of using Charged, thinking that it would boost the proc chance of crafted poisons, but I've since read that poisons do not count as status effects. I think the only status effects I have would be the 2H passive Forceful (chance for splash damage on light and heavy attacks) and the battle axe bleed. But I don't do many basic attacks with my back bar and the 2H I happen to have is a charged greatsword. I'm thinking of going Powered to boost Rally, which I also have on my back bar, or maybe Precise.

What do you use? Any advice?

In pvp I like defending for the back bar alot.. Dont know if you are running your execute there if thats the best though

nirnhoned could work depending on the set, but for the most part. Sharpened and Precise are king, sharpened being number one period.

If I can't have sharpened I go for defending to neutralize their sharpened, if I can't have it, no one can!

Infused for a Kuta enchantment. Defending is great as well.

Nirnhoned on a greatsword..... let the onslaught begin...

I have a Charged trait on my Burning spellweave sword because it is the unique drop, and I don't want to keep grinding, but I am a Dunmer MagDK with a fire enchant.. everything is on fire all the time.

Brother, if you have s&b and 2hand then I am assuming this is for PvP. If you use onslaught ultimate then 2hand nirn sword is king.

If you massively struggle to find any traited weapon, try crafted sets, you can make any trait tou desire.

If you are struggling for sharpened weapons, but running a crafted set as one of your 4/5 pieces, just farm the jewellery and a couple if armor pieces for your dropped 5 piece and then craft the sharpened weapons with the crafted 4/5 piece. People seem to overlook this a lot. Eg I use the Spriggans set in PvP, but the sharpened swords are like gold dust, so I wear 2 armour and jewellery, then crafted the other 4/5 pieces I use (Eternal Hunt/Hunding’s/alchemist) with sharpened weapons). No more grind required for the sharpened weapons so long as you use one crafted set. Except Maelstrom weapons obviously.

I use decisive on my back bar for my stam sorc, it really makes a big difference in ulti gain. My thinking was to be able to throw a burst with a dawnbreaker more often.

When I made my magic dk I wanted to use the same concept, but use decisive with dual sword and board. The difference in penetration really isn't that much with just one sword being sharpened but the difference in ulti gain is insane, and it makes resource management super easy.

Way I look at it, if you're back bar is for Healing and Buffs (like 2 hander) go Powered for the bonus on Rally Heal

If you're 1 handed based, defending or charged both work quite well (Charged works well with Disease or Shock Enchants)

If you're going for 2 hander dps on back bar with 2handed, Try and use a 2 handed Mace if you can't find a Sharpened Weapon. Then you can pickup precise for example or Infused

Infused on healers staff or Tank weapons in high end PVE (Yes yes IK PVP section etc etc just pointing it out)
Defending also good for tanks With defending on tanks you can reach the resistance cap easily.
Decisive or powerd for restos.
Sharpened For just plain damage.
Nirnhoned for very niche gank builds.
