Maelstrom Arena Beginner Series - Homestead

Those guides are for people that want to attempt Maelstrom Arena. This setup is optimized for people with 300 Championpoints. Easy to get gear 5x Seducer, 3x Willpower, 3x Julianos (or Monster set if you have) I will keep adding stuff as I am still working on a lot of the guides on my website

Personally, I wouldn't use Seducer on a magblade because you have Siphoning Attacks to handle most of your sustain needs, even at low CP. For a low-CP build, Kagrenac (the health and mag recovery bonuses are very nice) with Destruction Mastery is IMHO, a better combination, and Destruction Mastery is pretty cheap in the guild stores. I cleared vMA on my alt account at 288 CP with that setup.

Sorc build: While I'm not a big fan of teabagging, in the wamasu's case, it was a nice touch

Was also glad to see you step in the poison at least once (Realitic run) (I personally think Umbrage is its own little corner of hell.)

Just curious @Alcast , how much of a DPS difference you see from your max'd build vs the 300 cp setup?

I'm not trying to discourage anyone, by any means, but curious how much of an effect it truly ends up having? PM me if you don't want to post here for the reason above, if you would.

I was also surprised you didn't have LL down a bit more in your test run. Was that due to resources, the LA's and FP being enough, or just because?

Awesome guides and recommendations, as always. I know a lot of people probably get frustrated by builds that only have end-game-gear options listed. It's nice to see you provide some building blocks.

The dps difference is huge, i can not exactly say how much. But my guess is at least 50%+. I prolly just was bad at reapplying DoTs xD.

Very good guide! But was curious that your build for Vma beginner magicka templar 5 seducer, 3 julianos and 3 willpower (all spell damage enchant) how did you get 2451 spell damage and 61.3% crit. I am following exactly the same build but hitting 2043 spell damage and lower crit rate (inner ligh slotted) compared to yours. Or am i missing something

What is TBR? I'm a stam sorc trying to get through vMA for first time, stuck on stage 5 (only 3 deaths, but all before round 2)
