House item stuck in wall (solved for me)

While i was trying to use candle in the house, captains one in daggerfall, i somehow made it stuck in the wall at the fireplace and i am not able to obtain it. Is there way to reset the items in the house or something? I don't want it there and i want to have it back so any help is welcome.

slavetoSoul Shrivenanyone? Lost 1 more candle at the free room we got from quest, the other one is ok there but can't take it either, so that makes 3 items lost... You need to improve this because it does not work very good. and we need option to take back all items from the house.1

I have a similar issue. One candle stuck against a wall. It is not in the wall, but I no longer have the option to pick it up or move it.0 -
ddoggw✭✭I have the same issue. I cannot click on the base of the tree to edit it anymore. This tree is stuck forever until they change the clickable area of the item.

I did try this. I also tried leaving the house and returning. Still stuck. I did not try leaving the game and returning, but will check on the candle when I play next.

Thank you for sharing this @Apherius! I was able to retrieve something I placed in the wall. But now I feel silly because I hadn't noticed those buttons up there and didn't realize there was another crown shop! Oy!Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. ✭This problem is honestly easily fixed in code.
The reason you can't move the things when you stick them through wall and floor geometry(and water sometimes, FYI) is because of the same code that makes chairs and crafting stations impossible to interact with when their collision boxes are touching another item.
They just forgot to code it as a separate check from item editing versus item using. These items are considered placed in an unusable manner and thus you can't replace them into a usable position because editing is considered the same as using it.
At least, you can reclaim them from the item list in the editor back to your inventory to fix them, or hope they magically fix themselves(as one fish placed in water did for me).1
