Most duelers are better players though.
Yes, but most of those great PvPers duel because lack of population in Cyrodiil or zergs, but yes they do both.thankyourat wrote: »leepalmer95 wrote: »NightbladeMechanics wrote: »@Turelus open world imo. Dueling is way simpler, safer, and more predictable.

I don't know about that. I feel most duelers play designed dueling builds that aren't practical for open world cyrodiil. It's the main reason why I stopped dueling. I find solo open world cyrodiil more challenging and rewarding, and while I do win most of the duels I fight, I don't switch my build for dueling. I duel with my open world set up, and at times it can feel pretty ridiculous fighting someone with a dueling build while you are on your open world build. The best players I fight tend to be other solo open world PVPers like myself. With that being said most solo PVPers were duelist at one point. I feel dueling is a great stepping stool in being a good solo PVPer.
PvP and Dueling are not the same... Sure you can argue its a player versus another player and that's true but generally speaking pvping in the pvp zone versus a duel is not the same.
Dueling Both sides prepped , ready, each person sized up the other etc...
PvP. Raw, anything goes, any and everything is fair game to kill the other guy...
Now I know I left out RP dueling, that's because staged dueling or also called Glamour dueling is it real dueling or PvP ( for the staged pvp events that happen in cyro )
Ok, another thing I noticed is the amount of grumbling about potions.. Personally I don't see how its a big deal, especially if you are dueling to practice those 1v1 encounters or just train your self for your encounter rotation, either way you should just agree before the duel if potions are allowed or not..
Just my two cents.
