The only difference between these two premium outfits is one has a bandolier and a pair of boots. That's it. There is no other difference.

I don't think anyone could seriously disagree with you on this being a low effort offering. They're largely identical.

But the removal of the bandolier changes the costume a lot. The original has a definite piratical bent. I don't have piratical leanings and would probably never wear the original even if given it for free. The new one is more generic and might look ok on a few of my characters.

Not that I will be buying it but I do see more value in the new one.

When there's something good on the crown store, people blame devs are not making anything new to dlcs. When there's quiet on the crown store, it surely cannot meen artists are busy with some new dlc? *Vvardenfell at horizon.*

Vested interest is pretty much the merchant lord's outfit.

I had heard that. Anyone able to do a side by side of that one? (With or without the shoulder of guar as you prefer.)

Yep! I don't own a guar though sorry :D. It's very similar, but there are some small changes here and there. It's kinda like a cross between the Merchant Lord's outfit and Drifting Sand.

We don't call them Zo$ for nothing.

HAHAH the funny thing is that the three pictures from the right are sold in a bundle for 700 clowns. Whereas the new costume on the left they're selling just by itself for 500 clowns. It's almost like they're saying "Yeah we're greedy, and so what?" LOL. They're not even trying to hide it anymore.

They are copying EA in swtor. Every variant possible will come out with a different name and sold for the full price. Wait until they reach the point where everything in the crates are reskins.

From what I remember, SWTOR actually had a ton of items overall in their store, the problem was that the majority of them were only available through their version of crown crates, although you could also obtain them by spending obscene amounts of in game money on buying them from other players.

    So what?

Its up to you if you buy two similar outfits or not after all...
...don't like it? Don't buy it.
    Problem solved. ;)

The point is, we want to something new/original... Not a recolor of something already offered that we bought. Or like the Other redguard look that's just a base recolor of the one you get for the Thieve's Guild. Bogus...
Why are you so afraid of what others are going to say about you? ***'em and feed'em fish eggs.

I've said this since the crown store came out. ZOS will squeeze everything they can out of very model and texture. Though it is disappointing it is shrewd business.

Very common in MMOs...Every other game does this. The original style always cost more to help recover the cost of developing the in game item. From there, the lower price ones are cheaper due to slight variance in the style of the item and less resource time needed to modify the item. The lower price reflects this or packs if they make a few styles with slight variations.

The cost of MP items are relative to time and effort to invest into these changes. Let's not forget all of these items have to coded/modified by various character aspects such as height and other dimensions.

Knowing how much a developer gets in this industry and managing a team similar to the ones that Zen has employed, I can state with confidence that the pricing given time and resource to create the items seem about right.

I rather pay for style items and support this game than be feed P2W items that the developers designed that make them required to even enjoy a game. At that point, the game than becomes horrible and leaves a very stale taste in your mouth. Zen is not doing that, they are offering styles here and I'm all for more styles even with slight variation in cost and how they look. Style do not impact your game play in any way or form.

If you dislike their pricing, simply don't buy it but for those of us who like variety and don't mind the prices, we will buy what Zen has put on the store.

If you want to discuss MMO business and compare Zen to other companies, I will gladly share a private message with any one who feels Zen is evil as I know what evil is when it comes to pricing tactic and how a company treats their customers.

I just wish they had some improved textures or something to make them stand out a bit. I'm not against them re-using the same models, but just want them to be distinctive.

Understandable. You can at least color the item if you are a member which would make the item some what unique.
