The "Drifting Sand" Tunic and Sash vs the Pirate Sash and Bandolier
The only difference between these two premium outfits is one has a bandolier and a pair of boots. That's it. There is no other difference. Everything else is EXACTLY the same. Sure, it's 500 crowns, so it's not as expensive as others, but... there's already THREE other costumes that use those exact same pants.
I'm all for supporting the Crown Store, but there needs to be some quality standards. Reselling the same outfit with a minor modification is lazy. How many minor variations of the same thing do you plan on selling?

✭✭✭Lets be honest, the CS has been very poor for months barring 2 or 3 items. Lacklustre mounts, motifs that have been available in-game for ages, poor costumes etc. Everything that did require a little bit more effort is now shoved in crown crates and probably will be for the foreseeable future.9 -

Additionally, most games take a design and reskin it various ways. It's common and clearly works well.
The description of this current costume is this:

I's a designer costume mean for casual town and country strolls and relaxation. But it's also somehow the official uniform of the pirates legions in Tamriel? It makes no sense. I think ZOS forgot about the Pirate pack when they put out this Redguard "daily wear". Shortcuts were taken. =/

This is why I didn't feel a need to buy the Elk mount. It was overpriced as hell, and since this is ZOS we all know they're going to recolour that model multiple times and resell it. I'll buy a brown or white version if it's fairly priced.
Case in point, a black elk mount has already been datamined from the upcoming 2.7 update.4 -

If anything that's MORE complicated than the usual mount retextures they do. If texture mods were allowed I could literally retex the Elk for you to any colour scheme you could imagine in 5 minutes. I guess "we" are sort of accepting this because we never painted a mount another colour ourself. You kinda always had to get another mount. All the horses have always been the same, never seen a pony myself.
But clothing we are used to mix and match, play with colours sometimes textures etc.

Ahanu2✭✭✭As someone who's familiar with 3D modelling and rigging, what's funny is that since they had this stuff pretty much in place to begin with, it probably took, being generous, an hour or two possibly to make this.
My running theory is that a close relative of Pete Hines got a job doing all the modelling for armors, clothing, costumes ect. and so no one questions or criticized the stuff he puts out. Had this idea when yet again, Argonians get shafted. I could fix that in a jiffy, but ZOS has not. Why???

Argonians get the worst of it, especially for helms. Many of them just look ridiculously bad. The Dunmer helm turns into what looks like an awful motorcycle helmet and others just look comically stretched out to fit. ZOS should have just decided that, given the nature of Argonians heads, helms won't be shown on them (they can still wear them, but certain helms just won't show). Granted, I'd miss my hoods, but so many of the designs just look seriously bad....Argonians get shafted...

I agree. But I truly do think this situation is an exception to the rule because of Housing, and no doubt Crown Crates though I am still withholding judgement about how much CC's will impact typical Crown Store merchandise.The problem with arguing with a jackass is that they never stop braying.
