Please nerf Jesus Beam!

    I was in the nerf jesus beam camp until I made a magplar to sample that greener grass. After playing as one and seeing what people do to counter it, I don't have nearly as much trouble with it on any of my chars as I used to. While I do think the damage scaling could be dialed back a bit I don't die to it as much anymore except in 1vX when I'm getting zerged pretty hard.

    My bad I should have clarified, I can see the confusion. I meant Radiant Magelight being so prevelant, that once you are visible someone usually casts that to keep you from cloaking, then you can't cloak the Radiant Destruction.

    Not asking tooltip. Asking actual damage tick. Im seeing 2-3k ticks from RD, and 2-3k ticks from Soul assault. Something isnt adding up.

    I would say 1/3 of my jesus beams hit some poor sap that got between me and the intended target. About 1/3 of the time I tried to swap bars and the lag didn't let me...so jb instead of intended skill.

    I think they should reduce the range (15m or so) and leave everythin else the same. Or have the base dmg be affected by range. It is ridiculous to be fighting 1v2 or 2v4 or something and have one guy perma jesusbeaming you from 20m away. Just incase u get into execute range. Ontop of that it does nice dps at base dmg.

    Having to be closer to the target would reduce this happening. Tbh if you have 10-15% health and get hit by jb. 9/10 you are dead. It is a really strong execute.

    @Lokey0024 Don't blame you for asking. I never trust tooltips either.

    Here are my ticks on a mammoth in Wrothgar (130,000 health never went less than 50% health):

    Soul Shatter: (pre-buff with illuminate by killing some poor goat nearby, since RD automatically gives you illuminate buff):

    8062, 8062, 8062, 13142, 13142, 13142 for a total of 63612

    RD:

    8432, 8432, 5173, 5173 for a total of 27210

    So you can see for one thing Soul Shatter ticks for two extra ticks (Soul Shatter is the morph that has the same channel time as RD), so that is probably why you see similar ticks as RD. Also when you compare an RD crit to a SS normal tick, they are around the same which may lead one to think they are similar in magnitude unless you look more closely.

    So, again it's not even close. Soul Shatter is way better DPS at full health. Just about anything is.

    edit: I just realized what a nice combo of crits I got. Both tests were precisely 50% crit.

    A gotcha.

    I don't play a magblade, or any NB at all in PvP, but I gotta say I feel for them when they get RM'd. In other games with limited stealth you can have 3-4 stealth abilities, and your opponent will maybe have 1-2 anti-stealth abilities and careful use of either is what can decide a fight.

    In a game with (somewhat) unlimited stealth and unlimited anti-stealth with no cooldown it seems it comes down to whether you have a hard counter slotted or not.

    On my Templar if a NB fails a gank and I have RM slotted, it feels almost unfair. RM, charge, jabs, RM, charge, jabs, RM, RD. Something like that and it's over unless they manage to use fear and quickly slip away. I used to use immovable/reveal pots but I find I barely need them anymore. :(

    Now we need to start like a hundred discussions about nerfing proc sets, and in summer of 2018 they will nerf proc sets!

    They're nerfing proc sets also this patch. No more critical hits on any proc set.

    Somehow I feel like this is underwhelming after a 20+% nerf RD.

    Well, thats a good thing, isn't it? Nowodays every magplar in cyrodiil is tank, healer and damage dealer at same time.

    They should have either reduced the range (15m or so) or the execute range (50% to 20%).

    This wont do anything against temps hiding in zergs and perma jesusbeaming you. Which even with a 21% dmg nerf is still going to be op as ***.

    My base tooltip (HA temp) is 15k. So after battle spirit at 330% it ticks at 24k unmitigated.

    With this nerf it is going to be base 11.85. After battle spirit at 330% it ticks for 20k unmitigated.

    This nerf does nothing for the real problem. Temps wearing LA in zergs perma jesusbeaming people getting hit from 20m away. They should undo the 21% and reduce range of the skill. Or even keep the 21% but reduce range for *** sake!

    That 12k tick comes from you being at like 1 hp, even if beam wasn't hitting you, you'd die anyway. The 12k tick just makes it look worse than it is

    Well; I can say after getting wrecked by some proc-blades, I started spamming that *** when I saw a NB trying to escape just for the LULz.

    Plenty of cheese and lots of whine to go with it.

    Yup they nerfed the Jesus Beam. Lol, I honestly think it's pretty funny. To me all of the nerfs to proc sets and Magicka Sorc and Magplar nerfs seems like PvE nerfs. But what ever this is a PvE game any ways with a small mass pvp Mod from the devs.

    I mean does any one else finds themselves dumb founded that Magplar get hit with pretty big nerfs. All the while heavy armor and Proc Set stackers are still going to be supreme in Cyrodiil? I guess this is ZOS just pigeonholing all of the PvPers into Heavy Armor or stacking proc sets.

    Things like I explain above are the reason you'd be hard press to find me in Cyrodiil these days. However I will say thank goodness their are some actual good PvP games on the market for non potatoes like my self. Now ZOS instead of continuously nerfing already somewhat gimped magicka based builds. How about you allow us to buy more character slots. I've ran out of characters to level up on my account and would like to buy at least 6 more character slots to level up more characters.

    it is being kind of nerfed in update 13 in february, check the pts patch notes
