But my all time favorite NPC saying in all of the dungeons must be the arena announcer at the BLESSED CRUCIBLE, there were she opens the 3 gates with monsters behind them. Announcer: "these challengers is surprisingly fierce". This gives me minor force and major brutality IRL as I slay the beasts and finally chill that lava queen...

The hlaalu treasury one really bothers me actually. I do believe that the line is delivered by actor Alfred Molina, who is a truly fabulous actor. However, on this line, if you notice, there's the faintest hesitation before he says the word "hlaalu", almost as if he is attempting to say the word perfectly with the "hl" pronounced as a single sound. The thing is, that it's next to impossible to say that as a single sound, and other actors in this game, and I believe in Morrowind as well, say it as a very subtle two-syllable sound, and it sounds natural when pronounced that way. It may seem silly but that just bothered me. It's almost like Molina was trying to hard to get it just right.

Now for my favorite, delivered by John Cleese is heard just outside the bank in Davon's Watch. Actually I haven't heard it recently, so I wonder if it's been removed, as it is a bit racist, but is simply in line with TES lore:

"Too many Argonians about these days...makes me nervous..."

So when I was leavingt the area, she started berating me about doing it by herself. I've not gone though all 4 pages so this may of been quoted already.

My favorite is from I think Stonefalls - Davons Watch I been all over the map tonight picking up treasure chests from maps I had saved so I may be wrong on where I heard it but its.. (well technically I didn't hear it as I have the voice sounds off in game)

"You throw it up, you lick it up" I am assuming it is an NPC in the kitchen .. but gawd damn made me LOL.

They removed it because it was to annoying but it really stuck with me.
The banker in Daggerfall used to day: "Do you know the old saying ... neither a borrower nor a lender be? Rubbish! Without borrowers and lenders how would we ever be able to buy or sell anything?

@SadieJoan I hate that one so bad. If they weren't guards I would Blade of Woe them over and over and over. When I played with the voice sounds on this one always drove me bonkers in Khenarthis Roost when I was questing there .. Its not actually what they said but how its said with the threatening tone. Gah, pulls hair out.

Just thinking about it makes me grrr, LOL

Hahaha, I love her. I always tell people she reminds me of Rita Repulsa because of her voice, and she even has the horns.

That woman next to the wayshrine in Belkarth bothers me because I think the voice actor used the wrong word. I keep hearing "... a school where they lob off the heads..." I keep hearing lob (defined as "throw or hit (a ball or missile) in a high arc.") where I think this was intended to be or should be lop (defined as "cut off (a branch, limb, or other protrusion) from the main body of a tree." That's always bothers me.

OOooh I remember this from beta, haha! People were so much annoyed about this and were submitting tickets about it until it was fixed so that she wouldn't say it so often. Does she still say the "borrows and lenders be" line now?

Also another infamous quote was this one, you could hear it from across the whole zone anywhere even after finishing the quest, haha! I think you would even hear it when you didn't start it.
