After the withdrawals ended a few hours ago I went and did normal human stuff like: peed in the toilet and not a plastic bottle, ate a real meal instead of handfuls of Cheerios, and took an actual shower with soap and stuff rather than just wiping down the pits with baby wipes.
I actually feel like a new man.

Lol, don't give up just yet... in my 12 plus years of playing MMOs what happened/is happening today with ZoS is not the norm. It takes an extra special company to take down the servers on the weekend with next to no communication on why they did it and what they had to fix.

Never again will these victims look upon an MMO with trust again as the weight of this event was a burden far too heavy to bear.

If a tech company makes a call, to take their game offline to fix something, it needs fixing. It's clearly an emergency change, and they have the foresight to pull forward the regular update into today so you don't have dual downtime. I say good job ZOS.
Enough of the moaning peeps, if you want the game fixed they need downtime to fix it. Sucks for EU, APMEA timing wise but what can they do.
Agreed tho that open comms policy on what the fix was would be nice.

I worry that by simply mentioning this as a possibility you'll get disappeared by the ZOS Secret Police. Or by private contractors hired by MS through some shells. But more likely ZOSeP.

I have no issues with this as long as the company is transparent and communicates with the player base. Most people are pretty understanding when people treat people with respect and honesty. Do to lack of communication it always looks as if Zos is hiding something or doesn't care enough to talk to its customers. All Zos had to do was release a statement that says they found a critical issue and needs updating asap. Instead, by not communicating they have enraged the community worse than a cremetorian guardian.
