Anyway the update stands, they started doing work, Xbox had an issue, and they can't wrap up their update till MS resolves their problem. It's not holding at Zos end, and the updates are what Microsoft can give which right now are minimal.

Would not have downloaded BF1 if ESO had been online today.

If you understand our frustration then please tell us what it was that was so urgent. I don't know about anyone else but it has been almost 12 hours for Xbox now? The least you could do is tell us why we are in a hold pattern with no eta to land.

If the issue is somehow related to the purchases part of xbox, then I would assume it was related to the crown store, if this is true then I would assume their haste would mean something like items not being charged (free stuff or under priced) or the opposite (items being over charged) if the crown store was like double charging in some rare case or something, it would make sense for an absolutely immediate response and fix

Off topic but I chuckled when I saw your forum name

Well here's the thing, remember when the IC dolmens were auto respawning? That was a clear bug which many players had access to, and was obvious. There they took/waited something like a week before they fixed it. I don't see any exploit/cheat that would supersede anything we've seen in the past. I also doubt it was "cheaters" because that also involves Microsoft.

In short, we found a problem that had to be fixed immediately.GrayGhost79 wrote: »ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Hey guys! Thanks for hanging in there during this morning's maintenance. We're beginning to wrap up PC and PS4, but Xbox maintenance is still ongoing. We'll let you know when we're getting close to opening some of the servers.
Going forward, if a hot fix is needed on the weekend, it would be appreciated if you simply implemented the hot fix and left full maintenance for Monday or Tuesday per usual. You infringe on your customer base far less by doing so. Remember, you ran the numbers when picking the maintenance times. We now have not only had the start of our weekend impacted, but we will have to deal with any potential problems for the rest of the weekend where as normally this would only impact our Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Thank you for your work and dedication,
A paying customer
Understand your frustration for sure; we try to avoid having maintenance on the weekend at all costs. We were already prepping the PC build for Monday's maintenance, but due to how patches are prepared, we needed to publish 2.6.9 during today's downtime. It's a complicated process, but the good thing is we won't need downtime for maintenance on Monday at least.

Emergency maintenance must be done immediately. That's why it's called emergency maintenance. The issue obviously didn't exist on Tuesday, and couldn't wait until next Tuesday.I appreciate it's out of Zos' hands and it's not their fault but what on earth compelled them to do maintainance on a Saturday of all days AND the same day Microsoft roll out a pretty huge update themselves?? Why skip their usual Tuesday slot and perform it on the busiest day of the week? It's not their fault, yes but they should still be held accountable for such a lousy decision

We have discovered an issue that requires us to publish a small hotfix on all platforms

You could have gone to the patch notes and seen them.
