Exactly this. Templar healer, 5/1/1, Reactive, Transmutation, Malubeth. It's just about the only way to combat this stupid meta outside of stacking health to the heavens.a1i3n0ct0pu5 wrote: »On my Templar I've gone 5/1/1 heavy all impen. Malubeth. Dance around for a while dropping spears until they run out of stamina then nuke em with soul assault and Jesus beam.
I'm having no issues really . People are blowing this out of proportion... yes there is a chance you will be killed extremely quick on siege or something..... but in general just block lol

I'll give all you mages some proper advice. Use Grothdarr. Stam builds won't want to go near you, and if they do, it hurts like hell (I know, I've faced it before).
They'll probably try and range you when Grothdarr procs, so hit the S+B ulti and reflect all their poison injections. Seriously, for 100 ultimate it's so worth it (85 for sorcs). You also get free blocking for like 7 seconds which saves your stamina reserves. By the time your ulti is out, Grothdarr is probably ready to proc again... seriously, this thing procs every 5 seconds, it's beyond stupid. If you want to annoy Stam builds, use that set.
Alternatively you can take Mr Durham's advice and just hold block. I'm sure that will work out well for you.

Is the damage to grothdarr unblockable? RNGesus doesn't like me so haven't tried it yet.

Another way to combat the meta is to just zerg up and start to Xv1. I prefer rolling a MagPlar.Lava_Croft wrote: »MagPlars are definitely the best tool against the proctards.
Staying alive 10 seconds longer doesn't make you any tool at all.

Grothdarr damage can be blocked, but it ticks for a while. Most builds it is easier to roll dodge/streak out of it. It's kind of a catch 22 for mDKs... it makes people back away, but then it's harder for you to get back in range. If you can talons them right as it procs, it's pretty nasty.
