Last week I made myself a complete set of Trainee without training traits to play around with. Stats-wise, it's gives more than any other set (over 10k in total stats when you count the 2-5 armor piece bonuses).

You can get a medium chest in well-fitted or a heavy in reinforced/sturdy, and a shield in impen or reinforced (maybe one more trait). Jewelry drops in all traits (health, magicka, stamina). You can also get a sharpened sword and dagger.

All of these items are guaranteed drops from doing quests in the starter areas - no RNG involved. The only problem is if you already did these quests while leveling up - then you have to find someone else to do them and give you the items, or get another character to level 50 and then do the required quests.

Check out http://dulfy.net/2014/03/30/eso-quests-guide/ to find the quests the give the exact items that you're looking for.

Nice. I'll bet I have an alt or 2 that hasn't done the EP starting quests

On EP side, the very first Quest gives Darjs Shield, which in my case was Impen.

Biggest problem here, is that we really cant use weapons. Even if you double-bar, you will loose the resource by the barswap. Just like with Shield enchants.

I will be hunting for that Heavy Cuirass.

I have just done the entire Bleackrock Isle. http://dulfy.net/2014/03/30/eso-bleakrock-isle-quest-guide/ ... But only this shield was in Trainee. Received the Bleakrock Garrison Plate, which was NOT in the Trainee set.. :(

Yes, the purple jewelry I bought from guildstores, but I did get a purple arcane Trainee neck from a treasure map chest.

Looks like getting this set is gonna be interesting...

    So...

Should i make an alt and create/destroy him to get it, or will that not be of any benefit?

Wouldn't you need to get to level 50 to get the gear leveled appropriately? Seems like a lot of work.

I was considering pairing this set with Plague Doctor on a Blazing Shield build...still might if I can get the right jewelry. 2 pieces of Training might not be the worst thing in the world.

Blazing Shield builds need more than pure stat bonuses. Even using Fasalla's or Reactive would be worth more than just using a massive health pool. Add in monster sets and it's not just Scourge Harvester any more.

Extra stamina for CC breaks is invaluable in the BS Templar, and there aren't many ways that also give a boost to magicka (for casting shields) and health (for shield strength)

Plague Doctor is pure damage for a BS build, Trainee is survivability.

Agreed but you would only use one stat boost set at a time in most cases. Using both would end up making you weaker overall compared to using a set with a stronger combat bonus. Also, Plague Doctor is heavy armor so it always adds survivability from the armor and passives, not to mention having Impen for PvP.

I was very upset to find (other than the one body piece exception) that all the armor pieces are in training. I had an amazing build lined up for this armor, but now at best 4/7 of my body piece would be in training...

Someone said that Zos in Pax West said this gear was designed to only be in training, but what's really the harm in all traits...

And farming this gear is a pain... All of the chests are simple! I've found 1 or 2 master/advanced in an hour of farming... Well 2 more pieces to go.

If we ignore the Proc-meta for a second. Why is no one talking about this armor set?

It give an insane 7.5k stat bonus. Why would you even consider going Draugr Hulk for 2500 Stam bonus. when this set gives 2500 Stam AND Magicka AND Health?

Especially DK's, both mag and stam should be loving this?

    together with this set http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Pelinal's+Aptitude+Set

and there you go for your hybrid build :)!!
