Have more AP than I know what to do with spread among multiple characters. If I didn't I would just go sit on a wall during prim time and fire coldfire siege into lemmings until I get a few ticks.
I am surprised that they are adding in mechanics that discourage playing the game.

The trials sets moving to the golden vendor will only have those prices whenever they come up on the vendor. With over 100 BoE sets to rotate through, it'll be fairly impossible though. And a couple sets won't even be BoE anymore (warlock, viper).Golden Jewelry? Count me in! Drop those trial set prices!
In the meanwhile, you'll have even higher prices because trials won't drop them anymore, making them super-rare (only those left over from pre-update 12).
And the week after they appear on the vendor, expect to see them in guild stores for double price as people try to flip.
This is going to do absolutely nothing to improve prices of gold jewelry, unless we all get lucky and the vendor gets exactly the sets we want. And for some jewelry, it will make prices worse. Mysticman✭✭✭Please tell me this is not going live the way it currently is, with update 12 they're going to offer all 16 new Monster sets at the weekly vendor so the odds of getting the piece you need from the vendor will go from 1 in 20 to 1 in 52 that's unacceptable . they need to update the vendor to maybe offer 1 head and 1 shoulder each week from the Monster sets that would bring the odds back down 1 in 26 closer to what they are now.3 -
PS4_ZeColmeia✭✭✭✭✭My biggest issue is the inventory level, we added 56 new sets but really got about 100+ because everything is 160 now. Additionally with the increased amount of bop and loss of solid gold jewelry paths of acquisition + rng, and we have the same # of slots to try and get our gear. At the rate they are offering, assuming no repeats, it's probably 2 years to get your gear.
Again I think the golden's inventory could be tied to the # of undaunted quest givers. Each one would give you a chance at 3x the monster helms (each for their quest pool) 3x the bop sets (can't be the same one the same weekend) and 3x the gold jewelry).
This keeps the golden scaled to the game and makes RNG less onerousPSN: ***___Chan (3 _s)

250k isn't cheap, though and neither are 500k AP. i really hope that this may bring AP kinda close to a 2:1 ratio, i.e. that you'll get golden jewellry for around 200k gold in the long run. could really help to pay for my pvp pots that way@bbu - AD/EU

Just to clear up any misunderstandings for people reading this thread later, Sun rings will only drop from dolmens in Green - Purple quality with One Tamriel. As to whether the set is trash or the legendary jewels are worth 250k gold, that's a value determination each player needs to determine for themselves. For the gold-starved, I'm guessing 250k for a very minor legendary jewel stat bump isn't going to be worth it. For the players that have mastered the gold-making mini game, 250k might represent just a single morning's sales, and be totally worth it. You haven't finished the analysis. Now you have to compare average gold per hour v. average AP per hour (the rate at which you make either currency on average).
What the other posters are saying is that AP is either cheaper than gold or much more expensive depending on the player. Gold can be farmed at a predictable rate by PvPers and PvEers, AP is farmed much more efficiently by Cyrodiil rats.

You are making this more complicated than it it needs to be. The only thing I am saying is that 250k and/or the current gold value of 500k ap is significantly less than what these rings are selling for right now. I am talking about the market value of the ring not how good/bad/overrated the item is. In other words compared to the average market price you would pay right this second, those rings will be extremely cheap when they pop on the vendor.
