This, you should try 100 in elemental expert and the rest in something else see if it still causes an increase.

Second, there's been talk that the tooltip damage is bugged and does not accurately affect actual damage (for a very long time, Elemental Expert did not affect tooltip damage). The only way to test is to use a damage log and see what these abilities are actually hitting for, not what the tooltip tells you.

this ^^ turn on the combat text and test funnel and cripple on the same enemy with different CP allotments

So...

Actual DoT components:
Lotus Fan(does damage over time as part of an aoe effect)
Crippling Grasp(this is just a standard DoT)
Refreshing Path(AOE DoT not sure how you thought this wouldn't be one)
Soul Tether(if you stay in range of target after casting it says it sucks health from them and into you)


Not Actual DoTs:
Funnel Health
Soul Harvest
Sap Essence

All of the non-DoT abilities have components that work over time without doing damage, such as a self buff for 20s, a debuff for 6s, and a HoT. My guess is poor coding tagged these guys as DoTs without Really looking at what they actually do.
