I lost confidence with Imperial City. I regained it with Wrothgar, and then some. So long as they can keep on the Wrothgar level of content and writing I'll be happy as a clam. Which, I suppose, is a somewhat ridiculous statement. Do clams get happy? How would you know? Anyway... yeah.

I may be critical of ZOS at times but I love ESO and they've done a good job of improving the game since launch. They just need to get over that that last hurdle.

I actually liked IC. Could be my inborn naivety that doesn't allow me to see the bad stuff in things. Or it could be my class :p . I can understand not many ppl like a fusion of PvE and PvP, but I still think IC is a good DLC

Yeah, Wrothgar was amazing. Only thing I disliked is the grind it introduced: BoP sets, vMSA,... But the scaled lvling and nodes, the great story and just about everything else was excellent and well done.

And I can't help but notice: IC was pretty decent for a first DLC, Wrothgar got better,...

This is why I have confidence, cuz I truly believe ZOS is trying to deliver excellent content and I hope they actually listen to the players and get rid of the grind and the RNG

I was hoping for more info on TG and some clarification since Mr. Firor took the time to make an appearance... instead I got diplomatic answers of soon and look for it in DB...

As an aside, I enjoyed how relaxed the show got as it went on.

Edit: Although if I'm being honest with myself, I really didn't expect much, I mean truly, they are danged if they do danged if they don't i.e Justice System 2.0, Spellcrafting etc. If they say something then it becomes a promise sworn in blood to the community and if they can't deliver it later on then they are dirty liars who should be burned at the stake! j/k

Why not bring us, the players, into the fold? You guys need seriously help with balance--and your players can provide that help. I honestly don't understand why you aren't seeking it.

Based on what I see in this forum, that seems like a chaotic idea. Posters are contradicting one another non-stop about balance.

What if they choose people to help, and you aren't one? And what if those people have different perspectives than you do? What would you say then?

Please add arenas and battleground, more armor and mounts, more cool, interesting, wacky, funny quest and quest lines. This would make the game way funner and PLEASE add dueling, this is something that should not be asked for and should already be in the game. And also make it so non vet PvP has absolutely NO cp in it. You guys have a very stable ground to make this game absolutely amazing, it is already very good game bur could be so much more.

Pretty sure she means that the tweaks for existing skill lines are coming with the Thieves Guild's patch, not that the DLC will have a new skill line.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It's a long-standing forum bug - whenever a staff member posts and marks the reply to appear on the Dev Tracker, there's a note that the OP was edited (even though it wasn't).

    Another old bug gone unfixed.

My biggest issue with IC was the grind. Everything was a hard, slow, sluggish grind to get everything. Want Repora? Grind for it. Want that new armor set? Griiiiiind for it. We can get resources now pretty easily thanks to Orsinium, but back when Imperial City came out you had to grind for vendor trash to decon for mats or use Tel Var for them (and the price was double what it was now). So the only way to get VR16 gear was to grind non-stop, tooth-and-nail, to get everything you needed.

That all changed when Wrothgar came out, and IC got a bit better because you could enjoy it more for what it was.

But on the same front, IC seriously hurt PVP long term. Instead of having people on the battlefield all the PVPers were forced into PVE content in order to get the gear they needed to remain competitive. Battle Leveling wasn't as good then, so it really became a gear grind. Plus, ZOS changed things so that AP lost value overnight. Most PVPers relied on AP to fund the war effort (given the gold cost of siege, repair kits and more). Yeah, you can use AP to buy them, but at the same time, if you need to repair a wall from 0 to 100 with JUST AP you can watch your entire AP reserves start to deplete dramatically.

IC wasn't bad... but it just wasn't ready. It needed more tweaking, and it definitely didn't need the extreme increase in costs for crafted sets. It was discouraging to a lot of my PVP guilds and caused a lot of disruption and frustration from people's PVP habits.

As far as ESO live goes I find they don't seem as passionate about PvP as they do PvE, which leaves them seeming dismissive of the topic. Though they did say the next* (*not positive if it was literally the NEXT one) incremental patch would have some code improvements for Cyrodiil, and additionally most of the balance issues and fixes we are waiting for were slated for the TG DLC, with only the actual PvP content additions remaining without ETA. I will say that Wheeler and Wrobel are both pretty responsive to the PvP communities woes and seem to address our direct complaints... which shows they must care somewhat right?

Yeah because two back to back interviews with Wheeler is totally dismissive of the PvP community.

More like you arent hearing that Arenas are coming out next month and the lag will be fixed tomorrow so lets all pretend as if we're being ignored.

I think a lot of people are just kind of tired of being stuck with the same 1 or 2 main attack skills. I can only Wrecking Blow so much once in my life with the same single animation over and over and over... it's a great skill, but with 2H equipped there's only so many skills to use. Same with DW. Or staff. Or...

    Variety. Can has?

don't say that, because now they are going to nerf WB first and leave stam builds with no damaging skills! but don't worry, balance is coming.

What I means is that there should be more variety (different animations) to try to make things less monotonous rather than look at the exact same sword swing in a lather, rinse, repeat option.

You know what really broke ESO? 1.6 update. I'm on PS4, and before that stupid update that you hit 50% less, I was very very happy. I know that some people used to run 1shot1kill builds, but we could hit really hard, magicka dk's were very good, zergs wiped and got wiped faster and the small scale pvp was everywhere (as a solo pvp player I got to 8 place on the leaderboards on the most populated server).

now, on ps4, pvp sucks. everybody now uses builds with huge amounts of stats recovery and low damage, and they can kill more people (some ppl win a fight by boring the opponent to death). Before IC, I was a stamina nb full dps and I could do what night blades do best: kill fast and efficient. Now I see EVERYBODY running sword and shield, and you know why?? Because with sword and shield you can permanent block in a 1v1 situation and do a very good dps. Executioner abilities used to execute people, but nowadays, raise your shield and enjoy the pvp.

And I'm not even talk about ballistas and oil. those things hit for nothing now. it is a waste of ap. zenimax solution to this problem: some siege weapons will drain your stamina or magicka now. WOW. nice!

Why are we giving them two more years to complete content they promised to deliver in 2014?

They are adding nothing new to the game, just more zones but no new mechanics.

Remember when different mounts were going to have different characteristics? Now they are just re-skins for sale.
    uNMVGdn.png

I don't even see why they do ESO live anymore. They used to do it weekly but like everything else, they just can't keep up.

"We want to do the version that we think is the best game and the coolest experience," Hines continued. "And that means putting a lot of people and a lot of content creators towards having stuff that comes our regularly; every four weeks, five weeks, six weeks. Big new stuff that you want to do."

Stop being a white knight for zos...

They have left issues unresolved for months and months with barely any communication...all you get is "it's being worked on" for months and unacceptable issues in the game just get left for a very very long time....then more things get broken....

To say "let them have time to improve" is idiotic at this point...

Agreed. Most of the major issues in this game have been here for months and they're discussing new things...like really?

    FIX WHAT YOU HAVE FIRST!!

Stop trying to please the masses here because the masses are 90% spoiled rotton whiney kids who wouldn't know a balanced PvP game from stick in a cup.

You have enough ligitimate feedback within these forums to perfect the game. You all @ ZOS need to relax, revisit the game as it was 4 months in from release on console and then make logical and confident changes based on what you've learned and from what makes obvious sense. These are things you should do in Beta to be honest. Be thankful you still have a player base hanging on to what was once a promising mmorpgpvp memory just waiting for it to feel right again. You've been granted extra lives so to speak so do something that will have a 100% positive outcome for the game.

Great games are remembered for being so

......but so are absolutely horrible ones.

Clock is ticking so please fix it.

I'm sorry @ZOS_GinaBruno but the combat team has shown how capable they are regarding class balance. Why don't you bring in the playerbase a bit more into it? And I am not talking about those little crybabys whining for nerfs 24/7, but rather about those who make huge constructive posts that just seem to be forgotten the next day. It is just incredibly frustrating that we have balancing every 6 months, at least let us help with it so we are not stuck again with broken classes like right now for another half a year.

ZOS is running a business, that means their first and foremost priority is to do what gets more people into the game and with it more paying customers. And with that they did a great job in 2015 IMO, the game had such a bad reputation at start but this is going to change. In the end we all profit from a healthy game, so don't look at it just from your perspective. They will get to these issues. Lag in Cyrrodil is not just a technical problem, it is as well a game mechanics problem, what leads to people forming zergs, which are causing massive lag. So part of the solution will be something what discourages creating zergs, well hopefully it will be. There is not just one team involved in finding a solution for this, it has multiple reasons why it is lagging. One of those is player behavior and you will agree that this is the hardest to "fix".

It's funny to me that everyone talks like tweaking,or adding things to a game or a new DLC is just like hitting a key on the keyboard and it's done. This is far from the truth.Sometimes we have to wait until they can get things all in order to release something. They do the best they can, though there can still be bugs, yet we just keep at them with dissatisfaction. Customer is king, they say...

... but the company is emperor!

Sure, as a customer you have every right to make complaints and demands. But in the end, the company has to decide whether or not they can do a customer's requests without:

    - upsetting the majority of users
    - breaking everything they make
    - endangering themselves (costs, investements,...)
    - ...

In the end, the decision is theirs. And without a company to provide us with their goods/services, there'll be nothing for us to consume.

Make requests all you want, it's your right as a customer. But keep the company's viewpoint in mind too.

This is a good game the best of its type, you ever seen a forumn for a game that wasn't full of complaints? That alone should tell you something.
