Depends from whose point of view you are looking at the game I guess.

For ZOS, console release and major DLC out the door with CS among other things makes them feel they had a hell of a workload to get through and managed.
They probably sit there ecstatic with relief its all over....for now.

Reviews on IC were mixed....wrothgar was generally very good.
In general it shows (PvE content wise) they may have actually got the formula right to nail it everytime.
So its gone from 5 steps forward and 4 steps back to 5 steps forward and 1 step back.
Life has become simpler and easier for them if that's the case.
This gives them much to be happy about as the results are far more positive and they know what to do now to get the right results.
Sales and players appears on the up too...as a direct result.

From a PvP players perspective, things simply got worse and worse every patch.
Until present, where ZOS is pretty much treading water on the PvP front and desperately trying to stay above water.
Even here though, there appears signs that they are beginning to get their head around the problem.
It is apparent they are willing to tackle the problem head on now with all guns blazing too.
Will it be 5 steps forward and 10 steps back ...or 10 steps forward.....we will see.

    TL;DR
They know whats coming. We don't.

    I am concerned because:

ZOS are giving us no ETA on any of the things most people seem to care about (class balance, AoE caps, Arena/ BG's..)

Yet instead of being humble/somewhat apologetic they seem extremely pleased with themselves and can't stop saying how the game is in a great state which means they probably care very little about the above.

Anyone else feeling the same? (And yeah I realise I'm going to get some heat from the deeply devoted fans)

    Apologize?? LOL :p

If anything, you should be apologizing to ZoS and every forum goer.

If you are expecting to see a "humble/somewhat apologetic" ESO Live presentation, you are and will continue to be out of luck - permanently.

They have always presented as "extremely pleased with themselves" in every ESO Live I have ever seen, and have rarely ever addressed anything of deep concern to players beyond an occasional superficial discussion on a few topics.

We're still making a lot of tweaks to the classes and skill lines in Thieves Guild.
I think a lot of people are just kind of tired of being stuck with the same 1 or 2 main attack skills.

So much yes. I'm sick of being bound. Variety is the spice of life, no? I think all the existing skills are great. I think the game is in great shape, too. I just want a few more. Even some of the spells cast by enemy NPCs would be awesome to have.
    Just my 2 cents.

Stop being a white knight for zos...

They have left issues unresolved for months and months with barely any communication...all you get is "it's being worked on" for months and unacceptable issues in the game just get left for a very very long time....then more things get broken....

To say "let them have time to improve" is idiotic at this point...

Agreed. Most of the major issues in this game have been here for months and they're discussing new things...like really?

    FIX WHAT YOU HAVE FIRST!!

Stop trying to please the masses here because the masses are 90% spoiled rotton whiney kids who wouldn't know a balanced PvP game from stick in a cup.

You have enough ligitimate feedback within these forums to perfect the game. You all @ ZOS need to relax, revisit the game as it was 4 months in from release on console and then make logical and confident changes based on what you've learned and from what makes obvious sense. These are things you should do in Beta to be honest. Be thankful you still have a player base hanging on to what was once a promising mmorpgpvp memory just waiting for it to feel right again. You've been granted extra lives so to speak so do something that will have a 100% positive outcome for the game.

Great games are remembered for being so

......but so are absolutely horrible ones.

Clock is ticking so please fix it.

If 90% of the player base are "spoiled rotton kids" then those are the people they have to please as a priority, because that's where the bulk of their income is coming from. And if that means adding stuff to keep them happy then so be it.

I personally never encounter any real issues with the things people complain on and on about because I don't PVP. The reason being there are better examples of PVP gameplay elsewhere. This game is great for PVE. Sometimes you have to play and enjoy a game for what it is, not what you want it to be.

    Just my two cents.

Wait. Is the class rebalancing not coming with thieves guild?

We're still making a lot of tweaks to the classes and skill lines in Thieves Guild.

I'm sorry @ZOS_GinaBruno but the combat team has shown how capable they are regarding class balance. Why don't you bring in the playerbase a bit more into it? And I am not talking about those little crybabys whining for nerfs 24/7, but rather about those who make huge constructive posts that just seem to be forgotten the next day. It is just incredibly frustrating that we have balancing every 6 months, at least let us help with it so we are not stuck again with broken classes like right now for another half a year.

You're being to generous. It's been more like once a year, between major class rebalancing patches.

Only patch v1.2(June 2014) and v1.6(Mars 2015) were actual class rebalancing patches :cold_sweat:

    Now there's v.2.3 or v3.1 coming? Anyhow that's in February/Mars 2016 lol.

If you look at incremental patches in-between, class changes have mainly been "fixed an issue" or "adjusted a tool tip".

It's certainly a huge dilemma how rarely they do these things. In other MMORPG's they tweak under- or over performing class combos/skills literally every single patch, if needed. Probably why our community is so toxic and desperate. Once a balancing patch rolls out you're kinda stuck with your new class Overlords to eternity.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

Why not bring us, the players, into the fold? You guys need seriously help with balance--and your players can provide that help. I honestly don't understand why you aren't seeking it.

Because there is no WE players. The variety of thoughts about what needs fixing or is broken is mind boggling. Also letting the vocal minority into the fold only because they scream around the most is a really bad idea. As you know from most other games, devs can give a damn about what the community wants. Be happy that ZOS is that inclusive, and actually gives some thought to what players want. I'd wish people would be a bit more modest in that regard.
