They should have released murkmire first then, the group play should be before the solo play so it doesn't tear what is left of all the raid guilds apart. Just my opinion, I really do like this solo arena but I'm just upset about the raiding group playAzraelKrieg wrote: »You wait for Murkmire Nifty. I swear I'll seriously never understand why people sign up for a MULTIPLAYER game and then starts demanding it gets changed to a singleplayer game ASAP Zulu
I understand it's pretty cool how fast this was released after imperial city zos are doing a great job right now with everything, but Orsinium is meant to be for the PvE player, so many pve guilds have been holding out for this and there has been no new 12 man trials, no 24 man trials, no new 4 man arena (your most popular content), no new 8 man arena. I feel like this is going to split up a lot of the PvE player base with the solo arena, I do think it is an amazing concept but I reckon the raiding should've came before the solo arena this update.
Is there really no new raid group play? What happens to all the raid groups now?

Just improve on that SO HM time! Hope the loading screen boss is good to you on the reforms!
Interesting concept. Personally I don't give a rat's ass about leaderboards, but I'd support this if people who do care about them think it's a good idea.I feel what this post is missing is the idea that once you finish a quest thats it. You cant do that quest again unless you have multiple characters. Thats where the concern is coming from, people what replayablitiy.
Group content with leader boards are the best at doing that in this game. A solo arena serves that ok but it separates the player base and influences the idea to not interact with other players which seems odd in a MMO. People want more content like vdsa where you can get a team together and compete against other teams across factions. Above, someone said they need more sports like things in this game -- sports like things promotes community and competition which is what makes great MMOs.
If they added leaderboards for all the vet dungeons i feel that would be enough for this dlc. I understand that this dlc is designed for solo play but there needs to be group play content added to every dlc. This is an MMO.

With all the new content being solo focused, there isn't even an incentive to be in a guild. Other than PvP and trading guilds. I thought the whole point of making a TES MMO was to play in the TES universe with friends? Now they are pretty much reducing this to a single player TES game that you can chat with other people on.

I have a question for you, do you really think the solo player who loves questing is going to be able to complete a solo arena? Craglorn already came out, so aside from 1-49, silver and gold, what is there for solo play?

I have better, more content full options to spend my money on than this weak content. It is sad they want to charge us for these DLCs when the content is so weak.
Normal and Veteran versions that's all we know - like always it will be incredibly hard on PTS so players can get their I did it before the nerf achievementsStickleback wrote: »I'm extremely happy about the solo arena, and I hope it won't be as Hardcore as Nifty thinks.
I spend a lot of my time doing stuff on my own, and although I do join in the occasional dungeon/raidgroup (yes, still pop in the "old" ones now and then) I usually log on too late in the evening, when most people have finished their daily gold / silver, or I don't have the required "achievement" to link to join a PUG group.
This for me is perfect, I just pop in the arena and try and get a bit further than I did previously, tweak my gear/bar-setup a bit, and hopefully learn more about my chars more than I've done in the past 2 years since Beta. Lets hope my chars don't need to become hybrid to do it.
Are the solo arena's also any level?
@kuscoe I really hope so
3rd will be the weekly 100 maybe?Gilliamtherogue wrote: »Normal and Veteran versions that's all we know - like always it will be incredibly hard on PTS so players can get their I did it before the nerf achievementsStickleback wrote: »I'm extremely happy about the solo arena, and I hope it won't be as Hardcore as Nifty thinks.

There will be 3 levels of difficulty for the Maelstrom Arena, Normal, Veteran, and a 3rd to be disclosed later (hopefully when this damn PTS update hits, it said today!) It was in their latest ESO live if i recall.

I like the idea of a weekly reward system and the loot for every round, definitely gives a whole lot of replay value for that content which is going in a good directionGilliamtherogue wrote: »3rd will be the weekly 100 maybe?Gilliamtherogue wrote: »Normal and Veteran versions that's all we know - like always it will be incredibly hard on PTS so players can get their I did it before the nerf achievementsStickleback wrote: »I'm extremely happy about the solo arena, and I hope it won't be as Hardcore as Nifty thinks.

Some rando green said we'd get a trial "Shortly after or before Orsinium is launched, based on how quickly it gets finished and tuned". Looking like after, since it would have hit PTS already if it was before. I too am disappointed that we'll be stuck in HRC/AA/SO for another month or so, but I do like the chance to get some of the new sets that Orsinium will bring. Hopefully they won't be a let down compared to Essence Thief. (Not even to mention the abominations that are Tormenter, Shock Master, and Jolting....)#Wheresthestam
Solo arena has 3 modes like gilliam said to make it fit for all types of players, I thought it would just be the typical Normal and Veteran modes. Normal you can pause at any time and veteran is the competition side with no pauses etc and a leaderboard. Too many people are coming in against, I haven't said this content is going in a bad way, I just said we need more raiding content. Which in the end is true, but it's coming. So I'm alright with it.DaveMoeDee wrote: »I have a question for you, do you really think the solo player who loves questing is going to be able to complete a solo arena? I don't agree. I am more of a quester, and I'm looking forward to solo arena. I like not having to commit the time to a group. I will PvP for interactions with others or chat with guildies, but I want to be able to walk away from the game at any moment. I also don't want to have to care about the quality of my build for what the group needs, especially with skills being a moving target. I was adept at tanking at launch with my DK. Now, I am just confused with all the changes.
Ultimately, what they are adding is something new in the solo arena. Something that doesn't exist in any fashion yet.
It seems they are hitting their schedules now, so wait 3 more months and we will probably see the next DLC.
In the official Orsinium post...No new raid content?
No VR16 DSA / Group Trials?
No VR16 Master Weapons?
I like everything else about the DLC, those are they only thing I think are missing now...
