Orsinium - Where is the raid group play?

It is an ONLINE game. GTFO solo crap. Be nice, be helpful. Don't be a sick, don't be selfish. You will find plenty of people to play with. MMO.

    This post is missing coherence

No time for ***. The game needs everything centered around group/guild activity, else the population will go down even more. Make a fun and balanced competition enviroment, like sports, it's a breeding ground for excellency and socialization. Make even more cooperation scenarios like DSA, Trials and other dungeons, this way people will call their friends to play with them, more people, more money. Tired of see the game standing on a fence trying to meet the target audience. The game is a massive multiplayer, the point is moot, no solo play.

They should have released murkmire first then, the group play should be before the solo play so it doesn't tear what is left of all the raid guilds apart. Just my opinion, I really do like this solo arena but I'm just upset about the raiding group play

I swear I'll seriously never understand why people sign up for a MULTIPLAYER game and then starts demanding it gets changed to a singleplayer game ASAP Zulu

ESO is very well represented by the "solo" gamer. Gamers that will tend towards solo play, even if they dabble in group play. The lack of love for PVP and PVE grouping over the last year has done nothing but strengthen this.

The traditional MMO players, who look to group and raid play, are quite possibly out numbered.

I don't really have any problems with the Orsinium DLC. However, it's been well over a year since grouped leaderboard content has released, and the old content is obsolete. Had they scaled the old trials and arena or at the very least made the weekly rewards remotely worthwhile, I think we (the raiders) would at least be a tiny bit more patient. However, at this rate it's very difficult to find any motivation.

I understand it's pretty cool how fast this was released after imperial city zos are doing a great job right now with everything, but Orsinium is meant to be for the PvE player, so many pve guilds have been holding out for this and there has been no new 12 man trials, no 24 man trials, no new 4 man arena (your most popular content), no new 8 man arena. I feel like this is going to split up a lot of the PvE player base with the solo arena, I do think it is an amazing concept but I reckon the raiding should've came before the solo arena this update.

Is there really no new raid group play? What happens to all the raid groups now? :(

Just improve on that SO HM time! Hope the loading screen boss is good to you on the reforms!

I feel what this post is missing is the idea that once you finish a quest thats it. You cant do that quest again unless you have multiple characters. Thats where the concern is coming from, people what replayablitiy.
Group content with leader boards are the best at doing that in this game. A solo arena serves that ok but it separates the player base and influences the idea to not interact with other players which seems odd in a MMO. People want more content like vdsa where you can get a team together and compete against other teams across factions. Above, someone said they need more sports like things in this game -- sports like things promotes community and competition which is what makes great MMOs.
If they added leaderboards for all the vet dungeons i feel that would be enough for this dlc. I understand that this dlc is designed for solo play but there needs to be group play content added to every dlc. This is an MMO.

I haven't done them either in months. Potato Syndicate is basically a dead guild with a few buddies around for the chit-chat cyborz and erp. *** night has been a bit less enthralling and our selection of RP haremers has dwindled a bit. We quit trials a few months before IC, and I doubt we'll pick them up again when the next trial comes out as likely most of that guild won't return to the game. I am sure other guild will step up to it when the next one hits, though. I am also pretty sure the next DLC will have a new trial.

I think getting solo content out now is the right thing to do after IC, there are a lot of solo players in this game that will like the content and have been waiting a long time for it. The raider types have been gone for the most part for half-a-year, and most of them won't be coming back ever. They will be playing division and other games and won't want to dust this off with a 1k CP deficit against the ones that stayed for the long-haul.

I also don't agree that solo players won't be able to finish the solo arena. It has a normal and vet version, as you know, and the normal one I can't imagine anyone not being able to finish. As to the vet version, I am sure the majority of players will be able to finish it pre-nerf. This game is super-easy; if you can beat DDR you can beat this. I am sure most players will be able to finish the vet version as they can practice without excuses. I am sure it will get nerfed down the road, what content doesn't?

The raid groups already died when IC came out. Apparently ZOS doesn't want to do raids anymore, which makes me extremely sad and upset.

With all the new content being solo focused, there isn't even an incentive to be in a guild. Other than PvP and trading guilds. I thought the whole point of making a TES MMO was to play in the TES universe with friends? Now they are pretty much reducing this to a single player TES game that you can chat with other people on.

Or maybe they want to fill out other content niches before returning to Raiding. Raiders were the first to be given anything in ESO as far as DLC content. I know its been a while. They had a lot to fix and fill out over the first year of the game. But youve had expanded content far longer than PvPers and casual/solo PvEers. So maybe cut it out with the pessimism. Be a little patient and be happy that other players, that have been going without since launch, finally have something geared towards them.

It's an MMO. WHY do you all scream for solo play? You can solo 90% of this game already.

The last 10% is where all the loot and glory is, though. ESO has desperately needed endgame content for solo players since launch.

I spend a lot of my time doing stuff on my own, and although I do join in the occasional dungeon/raidgroup (yes, still pop in the "old" ones now and then) I usually log on too late in the evening, when most people have finished their daily gold / silver, or I don't have the required "achievement" to link to join a PUG group.

This for me is perfect, I just pop in the arena and try and get a bit further than I did previously, tweak my gear/bar-setup a bit, and hopefully learn more about my chars more than I've done in the past 2 years since Beta. Lets hope my chars don't need to become hybrid to do it.

Are the solo arena's also any level?
Normal and Veteran versions that's all we know - like always it will be incredibly hard on PTS so players can get their I did it before the nerf achievements

    @kuscoe I really hope so :(

There will be 3 levels of difficulty for the Maelstrom Arena, Normal, Veteran, and a 3rd to be disclosed later (hopefully when this damn PTS update hits, it said today!) It was in their latest ESO live if i recall.

I don't agree. I am more of a quester, and I'm looking forward to solo arena. I like not having to commit the time to a group. I will PvP for interactions with others or chat with guildies, but I want to be able to walk away from the game at any moment. I also don't want to have to care about the quality of my build for what the group needs, especially with skills being a moving target. I was adept at tanking at launch with my DK. Now, I am just confused with all the changes.

Ultimately, what they are adding is something new in the solo arena. Something that doesn't exist in any fashion yet.

It seems they are hitting their schedules now, so wait 3 more months and we will probably see the next DLC.

I PvP/PvE/Raid and Im actually excited about this new area. Its going to be a change of pace and a bit refreshing. I'll be able to put the disaster that is IC out of my mind.

I think its hilarious to see Hardcore Raiders moan and complain about 'being forced into a playstyle they dont want to take part in' and then to turn around and stick their noses in the air towards anyone that would look at Orsiniums more Solo-Friendly play and want to do it.

You wait for Murkmire Nifty. Plus it's been discussed time and time again that Orsinium was going to be solo content. No raids or trials was expected with this.
They should have released murkmire first then, the group play should be before the solo play so it doesn't tear what is left of all the raid guilds apart. Just my opinion, I really do like this solo arena but I'm just upset about the raiding group play

Craglorn already came out, so aside from 1-49, silver and gold, what is there for solo play?
I have a question for you, do you really think the solo player who loves questing is going to be able to complete a solo arena? Of course not, again it's designed for the end game players (raiders) who want raiding content.

Solo arena has 3 modes like gilliam said to make it fit for all types of players, I thought it would just be the typical Normal and Veteran modes. Normal you can pause at any time and veteran is the competition side with no pauses etc and a leaderboard. Too many people are coming in against, I haven't said this content is going in a bad way, I just said we need more raiding content. Which in the end is true, but it's coming. So I'm alright with it.

    No new raid content?

No VR16 DSA / Group Trials?

    No VR16 Master Weapons?

I like everything else about the DLC, those are they only thing I think are missing now...
    In the official Orsinium post...
    "6 new ability altering weapons"
    There they are! New ones!
