It's not even about tax. OP was talking about the company fell to do the calculation with tax included right.

The OP even comes out and says this is a due to taxes.

No he didn't, the issue was because he has to buy 500 more crowns than needed, the mention about taxes was simply an aside explaining why the card he purchased didn't cover the extra to get the next pack size up and he had to go get another one, it wasn't actually related to the reason, he would have been better off just not mentioning it to avoid confusion.

How could he foresee so many ppl would fell to understand what he said. No wonder I always read a lot of explanations which seemed quite unnecessary for me, now I see they were not so unnecessary after all. Maybe the OP should pointed out the company fell to the calculation at the end.

I have no problem with the 2500 crowns for the DLC.

The problem is i have to buy 3 000 crowns just to pay 2500 crowns to buy the damn thing. So here i was ready to buy it with $25 cash card stored. But now that snot enough due to taxes. So now i have to go buy another stupid cash card just to get $3 bucks worth just to get 3000 crowns to spend 2500 crowns with 500 left over.

Well its the taxes and the 3000 crowns needed that pushed it over $25.

The dlc was supposed to be $20, even with taxes i would have had enough. Its the 3000 crowns and taxes that pushed me over the limit.

This is why I wish the game would have stayed subscription. Grown adults don't complain about paying taxes, they just accept the inevitable on move on.

And you'll have no game to play soon.

I would have rather had that. That way i would have been ready for it at least.

Instead, i had to go back out,, buy another card. Give M$ another $25, just to have $3 more in order to buy 3000 crowns for a 2500 dlc.

So instead of paying $20, the actual price of the DLC. I just spent $50, to get $20 worth of 'tokens'.

ZOS has a 750 crown pack also.

I assume you are on XBox. If an [snip] card is your problem, I can't see ZOS' fault there. They don't dictate [snip] currency. ZOS allows you to buy 750 crowns, 1500 crowns, and 3000 crowns. Any differences on consoles, well, that's what happens when you have multiple hands in the cookie jar.

Maybe it's not this company's fault, just that other companies can do a better job on this thing among many other things.

People didn't want to pay a sub... People got what they asked for....

People voted with their pockets, if people didn't want to Sub it shows issues with the game not the people.

Personally I cancelled my sub on two occassions, as I felt due to the bugs I was not getting what I was paying for!

With regards to the DLC, I think £15 is a good price for an expansion. But I can see why people are unhappy by the fact you can't just buy the DLC, you have to purchase more coins than required for the DLC.
ZOS would of been better off just putting a price to the DLC, but they were also trying to make it so those who had been subed before F2P could buy the expansion with their free coins.

    Yup.

If you want the hassle free DLC option, you merely subscribe to ESO Plus for forget about it.

As for just buying the DLC with cash, I don't think that is a better option. The Crown Store is a perfectly workable, and reasonably low cost, way of handing transactions like this. It requires a lot less coordination and effort with the distribution chain. It also seems to be more reliable than getting cash purchases to show up in-game. Apparently, Crowns can be reluctant to show up in the game, and I would imagine DLC would be no different.

I am a happy ESO Plus subscriber so the DLC is just there as long as I pay, that is my choice.

However I do agree with those that just want to get the DLC once off and are not interested in the store, to have to buy more then the DLC is pretty poor ZOS. I want people to buy stuff to find more DLC and updates cause I love this game, but pull your head in there My Company and do things with a little more integrity and you will have followers right to the end.

I hear ya, but in the real world some of us live on a strict budget due to retirement (in my case), or due to working minimum wage, or due to providing for a family; for example, I can only afford cable service, so I canceled my $15 ESO subscription, so I can apply that $15 to a HBO subscription which gives me more entertainment IMO.

Just remember that not everyone who plays ESO has the same economic status. So, I'm wondering if McDonald's over charged you $5 for a dollar menu item, wouldn't you also be pissed off? Yea, I know it isn't quite the same, but you get the idea.

I agree with "it's time to hang up the controller" part of your comment.

I don't see the problem. Or you spend your 500 leftovers to other goodies or you keep them in your virtual wallet to spend them with the next DLC or whatever item you like.

About what are we talking? $4.1 you couldn't spend. What an enormous problem. What will you have to eat today, isn't?

It's just business. If you have some leftovers, you are more likely to return to the game.

In the good old times we had to buy tickets for our drinks at parties.
With these tickets you bought your beer, water, wine or whatever.

And yes it happened that you bought too much tickets.

We had 2 solutions for this problem:

A- Keep them in our pockets till the next party.
    B- Starting some binge drinking.

Solution B was the most amusing one, but not the next day. lol
