I have paid for ESO plus sub for two months and have not received my crowns from July and August!

    So whats your point?

My point that there must be something peculiar about anyone that would pay for ESO plus.

But a few months ago you were supporting ESO's subscriptions?

Why would it be different if I wanted to pay for ESO+ now to help with crafting speed?
I also was paying for the ESO+ to have the crowns on hand to cancel after buying IC...

See how that worked out for me eh? lol

I had supported a sub only system because I was buying something concrete not a system where I pay because I feel charitable and I want to support the game.I am a consumer not a sponsor and I will only pay for concrete stuff like DLC and occasional crowns.

People did not want that simple system. Now they get the [snip] that the OP talks about. I agree it is [snip] but is very much expected [snip]. It is however very mild [snip] compared to the [snip] in other games like SWTOR for example, another game where my sub ended the day it went f2p.

Yeah they really gave you guys a ton of content while subbing was active huh?

[snip] If you offer a DLC for 2500 crowns, then offer a 2500 crown bundle. Very simple.

Or just offer a method to purchase the DLC with regular currency in addition to crowns.

Better idea: Raise the DLC cost to 3000 Crowns.

Easier and cheaper to implement than either changing the Crown offerings or allowing direct purchase, and the customer is paying exactly the same as the cost of the DLC. Win all around, really. I mean, other than the increased DLC cost, but most people will just pay that anyway.

Here's a concept: why not just have the option to buy the DLC with cash? You buy crowns with a credit card so why not the DLC?

Why would i pay for a sub?

That has nothing to do with anything.> Infact a sub just gouges you more.

A sub saves you money.... 15 dollars a month (which is jack crap when you look at all the stupid stuff people spend in ONE DAY let alone a month) AND it gives me 1500 crowns...... I have been subbed since day 1....dont have to buy dlc, but guess what....I bought IC anyways with my monthly crowns.....I have enough for the next 3 dlc...WITHOUT counting on the 9 months times 1500 crowns giving to me.....

So yea....a sub is more cost effective considering you get 1500 a month in crowns, they carry over, dlc is coming out every three months.... if IC is any indication of cost thats 2500 crowns..... 1500x3 is 4500 crowns..... you will never need to spend more than 15 a month on your sub cost if you can learn to not spend those crowns on shiny things in the crown store...and even then you get 2k crowns which you can purchase fluff with and still have 2500 left over for the next dlc.......soooooooo

It literally would've taken 30 seconds of research to know that there wasn't a 2500 crown pack to buy and you could've prepared for it.

Ok guys gotta remember that lots of people here (especially on consoles) are still using mommy and daddy's credit cards to pay for games.

If you had a job or knew how to spend money, spending an extra 5 dollars shouldn't be an issue.

You talk waaaaaay to much man. Theres nothing i want to buy besides the DLC. So paying a one time fee is better then paying 15 dollars a damn month just to play it. Seriously.. i will never pay a sub free for any game,, period.

How does paying $180 a year just to access a $20 DLC make sense to you? if you want to sub, go nuts. But i sure as hell ain't and SUBS have nothing to do with shady pricing with crowns.

I have never been so disappointed in a game. be warned you will have to wait in a queue of a campaign your alliance controls ie azura star for domino players. yes you can enter the emperial city from any campaign. but be prepared to sneak across the entire map to get there, probably dying from gank squands a 100 times along the way. oh and once there be warned the new dlc is for vet 14 period. all creatures, bosses and monsters are all vet 16. so save you money and wait a month for the price to be 9.99 after Bethesda realizes they created a lemon of a game

Nope you cancel after 3 months. You get crowns every month your a sub. You use the crowns to buy the DLC then cancel sub. Would have been about $45.

I can tell you don't play this DLC much.

On Azura's Star you might die from gank squads '100' times, but you will not experience that on other campaigns.
On campaigns my faction controls I very rarely encounter any gankers at all outside of IC.

    Also, you're battle-leveled TO VR14 as long as you're level 10.
This results in having 40k health in some circumstances.
We bring lowbies with us all the time into IC and they do just fine and have fun.

How about you try it out before you condemn it?

Is the DLC worth 2500 crowns(3000 actual purchase)? This is personal opinion, but I don't really think so. Is the DLC worth 2500 crowns if you are subbed to the game and (unless you really, really into cosmetics) have a huge stockpile of crowns? Yeah, absolutely. Especially considering that if you are subbed, you "rent" the DLC at no extra charge anyway. If you don't care about the content of a DLC, and discontinue your sub, then don't spend your crowns on it at that point. You'll still have plenty of crowns saved up for future DLCs that interest you, or even new store items. The reason it is so high for such little content is to inspire you to sub. The game is not an obligation to provide limitless entertainment at minimal cost, it is a product that is presented to make money. As long as a profit is being made, the game will continue. This urges a balance to both the developers and the customers to keep up their end of the deal.

Crowns are a penny per. $15.00 USD for 1500. Buying larger amounts provides a bonus.

This is a $25.00 DLC. For $25.00 you get the DLC and 500 bonus crowns.

If the taxes are a surprise to you, this must be the first time in your supposed 36 years that you have purchased something. Ever. I would remember this experience in the event you purchase something else. Ever. It will help with financial planning.

The odds are we all aren't going to be returning to all DLC for the long haul. We will move on to other content.

I plan to sub when Orsinium comes out. That is when I will finally try IC. I will also pocket the 1500 crowns for the month sub. I have 1k from my sub length at launch and I have zero interest in vanity items. If I want to keep one DLC, I can buy it with those crowns. If I like both, I get both by keeping the sub while pocketing more crowns.

So, no, I would not lose money in the long run.

Of course, if I want to do pledges daily, I would likely need all DLC and, in that case, I would lose money in the long run (compared to buying the discounted crowns) assuming I don't eventually walk away from the game with 2k unused crowns due to purchasing in bulk for the discount.

I was at the store today and bought some snacks for my family. The bill came to $15, but their credit card machine was broken so I had to use the ATM ...

Those JERKS had the nerve to only distribute $20 bills!! Now I am stuck with this $5 bill in my pocket feeling REALLY taken advantage of.

If this trend continues I am going to put off buying food until they remedy this issue.
