Thus should be locked. I am sure enough evidence has been given too zenimax from their customers and they are noq probally making a BUSINESS JUDGEMENT.
This topic is now community fighting community, and everyone own point of view. (At the end of the day zenimax dont give a *** and it is ultimatly their decision)

I won't say it needs to be locked but it should be heavily moderated for the correct reasons and you're right on most of what you write. I think they do care and as such they are intentionally sharing their focus and decisions but not engaging in fostering community debates so they stay silent.

on a serious note. i have yet to see a single person voting NO who does not have a PC version and forum account starting 2013.
So i imagine most voted no purely because they didnt want OP's sugegstion to interfere with launch as opposed to being against allow console to get text chat (optional)?
So i expect the figures are much much more in favour for it than against than what is shown here. And if you joined from PC to console you probably already and have a guild or group of friends so your vote is very selfish to say No because you dont need to try and PUG of find a guild, when having the ability to toggle on or off a text chat option realyl doesnt effect anyone who does not want it.

Can you please clarify your comments. They don't read in a way that makes sense.
-This thread wasn't opened until 7/2015 and has no impact of console launch that occurred in June 2015.
-The user posted this having not seen or been aware of prior communications regarding the feature at the time of the OP.
-The feature was not being reviewed for implementation by ZOS for IC
-Its a good thread for anyone to discuss opinions, options and ideas but I don't follow your specific comments

Close it! Ill start 10 more.
Right now we have all console text chat consolidated into one thread. Closing won't make it us go away. Lol
Plus, if we get sidetracked every once and a while so what! Can't be any worse than the "PC Users thread" or the "3 Word Story thread".
The mods are fair and reasonable. There is no reason to shut this down. We are a bunch of guys talking about how much better ESO would be with Text Chat.
We've even caught on to how trolls will try to cause problems to get threads closed and we dont play their games. All and all this thread is pretty clean recently. Its only a problem for people that don't want text chat.

I took it as meaning the launch of IC. Made sense to me.

And by straight answer NBS, I mean a straight answer, not one of your usual long winded meandering and obfuscating replies, designed to confuse the weak minded into believing that you are actually saying something that makes sense.
A straight answer, if you will.

I am slowly losing hope that the devs care about anything we say.. ESO feels like the devs are not trying to make a game that the players enjoy and that the ES fans hoped for so many years ago. Instead it feels like "Hey we are going to ride this burning train off the rails and into the ground the way we want to. If you the fans do not like it oh well.!"

I think a blind guy posted about 40 pages back that he couldnt SEE so text chat wouldn't work for him personally. Everything else has been just for the sake of argument, IMHO.

And you thought posting to a thread not about crowns, that you say you don't care about it's topic will get you crowns somehow?
There are four other walls in your room if you would like to pound your head against those as well, mate.

Well, posting everywhere else gets you no where I'm here now.

I hope they fix your account for you.

As I noted previously the voice chat system that ZoS implemented is very bare bones and does not have any lobby customization options at all. You cannot password protect chat channels (or make them invite only), view who is in the chat channel before joining, or even give the channel a proper title.
On a side note, ZoS saying that they do not see ESO as an MMO is a huge part of their problem. Just as Modern Warfare revelutionized the FPS genre by adding RPG elements, MMOs have evolved over time to include elements from many other types of genres. While ESO is heavily influenced by the Elder Scrolls series it is still, at its core, an MMO. As a result communication with hundreds of other players is a fundamental requirement of the game. Also note that the game was marketed as an MMO and reviewed as an MMO so perhaps ZoS is developing the wrong game.
