Loyalty Program Rewards

After reading this whole thread it seems clear to me all ZOS need to do is add one extra item that's easy to do, and award it ONLY to those that have subscribed (real game time) NOT future game time.

This way everyone gets what's already been stated and anyone that's bought ahead to get the Mask and Mount will not have any problem, then everyone that's been subscribed and maintained a subscription for the period selected (300 days etc) gets something that truly identifies them as a LONG term player .... just remove the word Loyalty to separate those that are financially loyal v's those that are subscriber loyal.

A suggestion that would seem to be quick (I am no programmer) would be to have a unique color version of the Senche mount (black or white) that is ONLY ever available to those that truly qualify.

problem solved and no more QQ

Unicorn. All white horse. Add a horn. Never offer unicorn again. Done.

Everyone! This is your LAST OPPORTUNITY to receive these BEAUTIFUL AND EXOTIC items that will never be obtainable in the future! GET THEM NOW WHILE YOU CAN!!!

You honestly believe they wont start selling this in the store? They already lied about who would qualify. Why wouldnt they lie about it never being available again? They have proven they cannot be trusted as this was supposed to only be for people who have 9 months played. Like usual they said one thing then did another. So dont be surprised when you see this for sale to anyone who has the money. Since thats how most people got it anyways.

Well, we know the Senche mounts will appear with alternate skins in the store. Probably for 1300 a piece, but that's a guess, not something we know.

As for the mask? Probably not.

I mean, here's the real question; what would they gain from putting it in the store?

I mean, if the Crown Store was going to be like The Secret World's, where items are periodically removed from it, then, sure, whatever. But, if you, say, put the Ultra Rare Super Special Senche in the Crown store... what happens? Some people will buy it, sure. And some people who were giving you money will throw a snit fit, leave, and never return. More than that, some people will flat out never do business with you. For an MMO that's far more destructive, because the kinds of people you're alienating are the exact group that will weather snide trolls on the forums, and muddled messages from developers and Customer Support.

So, you can make a couple bucks and lose customers... or, you can just reskin it and release a non-exclusive version. Which is what's going to happen, and we know it.

You can't have it both ways. If you're listening to the forums. Either the Senche is a $150 cash grab mount, or they're not going to make enough money off it, and they'll have to toss it into the store for later. It can't be both.

Wa?? Of course it can be both. Happens in all the time in games that are F2P yet also have a sub.

I'm not concerned with the cosmetic items. My biggest concern is a new player can spend the same money a past subscriber and get 15x more crowns that can go toward future content. Content that was withheld to get the game launched as B2P. Old subbers will have to pay more to get this content than someone else. Plus they would get the cosmetic items if they bought it ahead of time.

So some would say someone would never spend that kind of money to get a mask and mount. I say they would be smart to because it will also pay for future content in crowns and at a 93.3% discount compared to what old players payed. They can have a lot more than a "loyal" subber for the same price.

Ok guys, thanks for your patience. For our last two loyalty reward deployments, before we retire the Loyalty Program, we've made a few eligibility adjustments. These changes are to ensure that those who would have been eligible if the Loyalty Program had continued can still receive and enjoy the rewards before it ends.

From now until we retire the Loyalty Program, you'll be eligible for loyalty rewards based on the time you've purchased (instead of time that you've already played.) That means you'll receive the Mask of Cheerful Slaughter as long as you’ve purchased nine months of game time, even if you haven't spent nine months subscribed yet. Since we're ending the program, we want to make sure that more folks have the opportunity to get the rewards. This goes for the three- and six-month rewards as well.

Hope this makes sense and clarifies your questions!

Can you please answer one more question? WHY are you "retiring" the Loyalty program?

The loyalty program isnt ending per se. Just changing. Now instead of a predetermined gift you get 1500 crows to pick whatever you want from the new store.

Aren't they already? Unless, of course, ZOS were to make it so EVERYONE got the silly ghost fish at 3 months and the Dwarven Sphere at 6 months going forward. Which, IMO, they should NOT do. Those rewards were for the people who had reached those milestones at that time. If you weren't here, you shouldn't EVER get them. Easy. No extra "keeping track" on ZOS's part. Rather than outright END the loyalty program for subs they should reboot it when they make the switch to B2P and if you are subbed on March 17th, 2015 and you are STILL subbed without a break on March 17th, 2016 you should get a new loyalty reward. The reward should come out ONCE and then be retired and a new reward should come out on March 17th the following year. Nothing extravagant. Nothing difficult for ZOS to keep track of. Those who continue to support the game via sub deserve something other than the middle finger it feels like we're getting now.

I get you. The crown stipend is supposed to replace it, in that sense. So each month you get enough to grab a neat thing, and then move on to the next one. There's obviously an open question of how much will stay in the crown store month, to month. But if they're serious about rotating stuff out, it should have the same net effect.

Now all the new players and people who dropped their subs for months while the bugs were being worked out can load up on game time cards, get every single "loyalty" reward in the game, AND get a huge bonanza of crowns to spend in the crown store when all of their future purchased months convert to 1500 per future month on March 17.

Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too? Not ZOS!

    I think I still have my receipts from two weeks ago :}

Shutting down the loyalty reward program is unfair to people who didn't get the chance to spend the time right away to get these items.
Buying time cards gave us a decent fair chance to get them but the amount of time given to do it was way too short.
First it was march 17th then it became feb 26th which robbed me of my time cards bought right after that.
So you can imagine my frustration after activating 2 more cards to find out I should have waited after march 17th since I wasnt getting the rewards anyway.
I got the wraith pet but I really wanted the costume.
I am extremely disappointed and my OCD for all pets and costumes is driving me mad enough to be the rightful owner of the costume.
I even bought the little figurines to get the other pets.

    That's not how it works.

They query the database periodically. We know there's going to be a query going through on the 16th. So you should get both the Senche mount and the Mask then, if you qualify. That will be the deadline, though.

The querying the database thing was something one of the admins explained, I think Gina, back when the Ice Wraiths were first released.

The 16th thing was based on needing an active subscription on the 16th. Though, if they did change the cutoff date to Feb 26th, I haven't seen anything about that.
