Guys I don't really think that many newer players are going be to pay 90+ day subs just to get a friggin mask and/or senche tiger. That's $42 for per 90 days just for a vanity item. I think the exclusivity of those of us loyal(silly) enough to have paid and played for nine months will remain intact.

    It's not 90+, it's 270 days for mask. It's a $135 for it and $150 for senche.

Actually, $150 for either, since we're talking about time cards, and those only come in 60 day increments, IIRC.

I am not sure you're aware of just how much some people will pay for things.

Also for me the issues is, I know people who went "screw this game, I will come back when it's fixed it's buggy *bleep*" then took months of. Now those people who didn't support the game and ZOS by sticking around can buy some GTC top up their accounts get get an item which is meant to be a thank you to the loyal fans.

I honestly feel that ZOS should have just said "If you didn't play here for the time needed, sorry but this item is not designed for you." it's cold and it's cruel but it shows a stand and doesn't reward those who haven't actually been loyal.

Loyalty rewards for the disloyal... :disappointed:

Your preaching to the choir, but seeing as now ZOS via Gina have made an official post letting people know they have changed the requirements from used time to paid time, there really isn't much more than can be said or done about this issue.
They suddenly aren't going to change their minds because some of us Vets don't like the fact that anyone can be "Loyal", not by playing the game, but just by paying a lump sum of cash before a deadline.
I'd be happy with a unique title tbh, but that's not going to happen either.
    Time to move on.

Yeah sorry I know the total cost is for nine months but I was referring to past players who would miss out by a couple of months or more. Didn't explain myself very well.

Yeah there are people who will pay whatever to get a cosmetic gimmick for the game but they're a very small minority. You probably wouldn't even notice the difference anyway. Besides you won't even know who they are anyway.

No, I've got a pretty solid idea. Hell, I've actually paid for two LTS subs to STO. That said, I think you vastly overestimate how much someone will pay for a simple cosmetic swap piece, no matter how cool. And, again, I have an LTS in STO.

Yet we have Star Citizen proving that people will pay absurd amounts of money for a simple limited edition paint scheme.
I am not expecting most of the people who have only started playing yesterday to drop money on a stack of GTC's for the mount, but I can see those who took six or seven months away because they deemed the game as rubbish and not worth paying for, who now feel it's worth playing dropping some money for this. Remember that it's not just the mount gained from this action but also the Subscription/Crowns post TU release.
It's basically saying to any players "if you buy a year up front before this day, get all of the bonus for buying that year as well as all the rewards designed to thank people here from the start."

A quote from the first announcement of loyalty rewards for ESO. LINK
Since launch, we’ve loved sharing the adventure of ESO with you as you explore ever-growing Tamriel. There’s so much more on the horizon, but we think it’s important to give some special recognition to those of you who have already been there every step of the way.

And from the Febuary Road Ahead. LINK
As I alluded to in our special ESO Live show on the day we announced Tamriel Unlimited, I'm very happy to share that we'll be granting an exclusive mount to everyone who has been with us from the beginning: a special Striped Senche (giant cat) mount, given only to those who are eligible. If you see someone prowling the battlefield on one, you'll know you're looking at one of the core members of the community, someone who has been exploring Tamriel with us for quite some time.

However those are not the case any more, because of the changes announced by ZOS they're now saying that if you're willing to spend money you can have rewards designed to thank people who stuck through broken quest lines, bank wipes, item duplications, massive bot and gold seller incursions, extended downtimes and all the other horrible events of the last year.

To the developpers: may I ask you what utility would have to retire it? I'm wondering why paying a premium subscription when it will not be anymore essential to play the game should not be considered a greater demonstration of loyalty by us, as well esteeming that the premium subscription price shall increase compared with the actual subscription fees? Notice please that if I couldn't yet fullfill 9 month's subscription was not because I didn't want to play, but because of major force real duties occurred in the past months after the release of the game. So I'm not asking to keeping develop the Program, but only to give to users like me the opportunity to fullfill our ESO's virtual collection. This would also influence my chose of buying other 6 months of premium subscription next time in Tamriel Unlimited.

Consider please to keep availble the Loyalty rewards for those who're keeping to pay for Premium accounts in Tamriel unlimited, it would be kind and useful for both users and developpers.

Then what is your complaint? That some hypothetical person might game the system? That a system set up to avoid screwing subscribers over has been set up to avoid screwing subscribers over? By your own admission, you're making an argument you don't believe because, whatever reason wandered into your head.

I also yes want to use the word loyal, because that's how all of these rewards have been marketed to the player base.

Yeah, and Sharri's calls their discount card a "loyalty" card. That doesn't invent a personal relationship out of whole cloth. It's a subscriber reward system. It doesn't mean you're dating the game. No matter what they call it.

My complaint is we were told these would only be for people who qualified. They flat out lied for the first time before the game even relaunched. That means everything they told us is subject to change if they think they can make a buck off it. They have proven they cannot be trusted. Everything they say in these road aheads etc is all bait and switch.

Ill keep playing for free. I wont pay them another dime. They obviously do not care about anything other than how much money they can milk people out of.

Ok guys, thanks for your patience. For our last two loyalty reward deployments, before we retire the Loyalty Program, we've made a few eligibility adjustments. These changes are to ensure that those who would have been eligible if the Loyalty Program had continued can still receive and enjoy the rewards before it ends.

From now until we retire the Loyalty Program, you'll be eligible for loyalty rewards based on the time you've purchased (instead of time that you've already played.) That means you'll receive the Mask of Cheerful Slaughter as long as you’ve purchased nine months of game time, even if you haven't spent nine months subscribed yet. Since we're ending the program, we want to make sure that more folks have the opportunity to get the rewards. This goes for the three- and six-month rewards as well.

Hope this makes sense and clarifies your questions!

So this means i should get my Loyal Dwarven Sphere then. But support team said different. What should i do to get my reward ?

If that's accurate? Show up. Receive bacon. You'll probably receive an in game mail, whenever they get around to kicking the system over. If that's after 1.6, the pet will go straight to your collections tab. If it's before, you'll have an item in the mail.

I think the math in here is hilarious....I see so many comments complaining that a subscriber who has already paid for 10months gets far less crowns than someone who pays for 10months of sub today because of how the crown payments fall.....but you dont realize that those of us who have already paid for 10months are also like to continuing subbing such as I am so we will get the same amount of crowns as someone who pays for 10months today PLUS the crowns for all the previous months we have already paid/played for because those months will become ESO Plus months of which many of us myself included will still be subbing and will receive. The only difference will be those people who pay for 10 months today so they can get the "loyalty" rewards will get the next 10 months of crown payments in one lump sum and nothing else until those 10months expire where as we "loyal" subscribers will get them either monthly or trimonthly depending on how you are subbed but we will still get that same amount plus the 1000 for all the months we already played.

People who already paid for 10 months need to pay same amount again to get the same amount of crowns. So, those who played this year need to pay twice to get the same benefit.

The fact is these rewards we were told were for people who put up with all the BS surrounding a MMO launch. Then they turn around and say well if you slide us some cash we will give you the rewards as well. The rewards are now worthless and ZOS has proven if you wave some money around they will bend over backwards for you.

    Hello,

You will not get the Loyalty Jester Mask yet because they are not in the game as of now. They said once we qualify, we will receive both the Loyalty Mask and Senche Mount around the end of February.

It is imperative that you get credit for 10 months worth of subscription time prior to the launch of Elder Scrolls Unlimited. Some claim that extending your subscription time to 90 days solely using Account Subscription page does not qualify us. There are several websites that sell gametime cards as long as they have stocks. There is also Ebay where folks sell gamecards too.

Right now the only option you've got for more game time would be to dig up prepaid game cards at retail. Two of those should qualify you for everything, but that is talking about paying out $60 for stuff sight unseen. IIRC they said they run a script to check eligibility at regular intervals. But, it might still be querying elapsed time instead of paid. Once it's moved to paid, you should see it kick over whenever they do an update check again.

The mask, yes. But probably not the mount. Part of the eligibility requires to have an active subscription on March 17th.
While they could work out who would have enough paid days and enough sub time left to still be actively subscribed on the transition, it's probably more likely that they will leave sending the mount until TU launch, or shortly after.

So, nobody panic if you get the mask and not the mount :)

Edit: More info on the deployment schedule has been released here. Basically as above, for most there will a couple of weeks between receiving the two rewards.

You honestly believe they wont start selling this in the store? They already lied about who would qualify. Why wouldnt they lie about it never being available again? They have proven they cannot be trusted as this was supposed to only be for people who have 9 months played. Like usual they said one thing then did another. So dont be surprised when you see this for sale to anyone who has the money. Since thats how most people got it anyways.

I don't see the big deal. Those who subscribed for the last 12 months will get the mount and have a choice to stay sub or go to non-sub.

Those who purchase sub going forward to get the reward will be subbed for the next 9-12 months at least aka just as loyal as the rest.
