Kind of. But both characters will start out with a riding skill based on whatever you put into their individual horses. So if they are both maxed out on speed, then both characters will start out with 60 speed (actually, maybe it's 59?). If you had only bought a horse on one character and maxed out the speed on it, both characters would now get to use that horse, but only the character you actually bought it on would use it with 60 speed.AFrostWolf wrote: »What's going to happen to those of us who bought 2+ of the same horse?
The way I'm understanding the change, as long as you have bought a horse once, then we will be able to use that "horse skin" on any character. If I have a Gaited Horse on 2 different characters, Am I SOL on the "wasted" 42k.

I for one wouldn't mind getting a refund. Letting us sell our horses back after the conversion for full price would easily fix this.
Well, you couldn't have done exactly the same with an Imperial horse, though, because you'd be 10 spots behind. Granted, it's not a huge difference, and it would only take 10 days and 2500 gold in 1.6 to make up the difference (which would be a significant net savings of gold), but it is a bit of a difference.AFrostWolf wrote: »Could have done the same with an Imperial Horse though. This isn't a bad idea at all. Have a period of time after we go to 1.6 during which you can sell back your horses either for full price, or a significant portion of full price (much more than you can sell it back for now). Seems pretty fair to me.AFrostWolf wrote: »I for one wouldn't mind getting a refund. Letting us sell our horses back after the conversion for full price would easily fix this.

It's very worth it, in my opinion.

I'm not saying it's not worth it. But for those who don't play a lot, or do nothing but Non-Vet PvP (which drains funds) wasting money on horses sucks. 84k is a huge hit for me.

I have 17k spd 10 stm20 p20
42k mule pk50
42k black spd 30 stm 20
On my main ... so it is clear to me my riding skill will be spd 30 stm 20 p 50
... wait ....
42k horses bonus is count, so my skill will be ?
spd30 stm 30 p 60 ?
Also question is my black horse keep her face armor and speed skin part or loose that?
How can train these elements in future?

What would you suggest they do? Rollback the entire change over it?
So.. A question for all you horsie people
I have yet to buy a horse. Should I hold on on buying one after the patch?
Or should I get the cheapest one and start upgrading it?

I would probably buy cheapest and start leveling speed. 1.6 won't be on the live server for at least 2- 3 weeks if not 4.

If your a sorcerer or night blade you'll be alright without one. You could level rapid for faster movement speed as well.
Of course if you get the cheapest horse you could start to max one of three areas to have it when 1.6 goes live. Or if you buy the more expensive ones, you'll have the max 60% instead of 50%.
I think what everyone is referring to is a bug, if you have the max speed horse(fully leveled) you should have max speed.
Unless ZOS took back their original statements...which....we all know how that goes.

If you own the imperial edition, get 3 imperial horses (for 3 gold + 110 gold for stable space) and start levelling one of the stats on each of them. That way, you´ll be able to level 3 stats at the same time until 1.6. After 1.6, you´ll only be able to level 1 stat per day.
If you don´t own the imperial edition, you can always buy the 17k horse and just start levelling. All horses will be equal after 1.6, so you won´t be missing out.
