Launcher Wants to Install the Entire Game Again

My internet provider only gives me 50GB/month which is horrible but I can generally cope with. However suddenly my launcher has decided that I need to redownload the entire game on both USA and EU, this is more than an entire month's limit and I just can't do it and the game wont launch unless I do this.

I was playing very happily but just clicked around on the launcher having a bit of an explore, I clicked show public test environment and that was when this disaster occurred. I have unchecked it but too late. How can I fix this and tell the game I have it, it is fine and I do NOT need to download the entire game again?

Just undo what you've done, just uncheck "Show PTS environment" because I suspect that is all you did and now it wants to download the PTS which also has 60 GB but your game in fact is fine.

Edit: Nevermind, you said you unchecked it. Maybe reboot? My bad, lunch break.

Restore the game tree from the backup you take after every patch?

If it's the same problem I'm having, then you can still launch the game directly from the exe - the launcher just doesn't recognize the path.

@abigfishy If you want to make it stop trying to download the PTS, just go to your file folders and delete the PTS game folder. It will stop recognizing that it is there and trying to download it, and since you have unchecked the "Show PTS Environment" box, it will not try to install it again. I had to do this a while back, and deleting the PTS game folder fixed it for me. I hope this helps!

That is a great tip I will try this one tonight. It isn't just the PTS it is trying to downoad but Europe and USA as well but maybe this will fix it.

@abigfishy Thank you for that, but it's totally unnecessary! I'm just really glad that my blunders and trials and errors can help someone else out before they have to resort to drastic measures, haha. Have a wonderful game!
