With the new patch1.4.4 the hired trader tab in the guild menu now shows how much the guild has bid on a trader. I can see it in 4 of my 5 guilds, and I can not ascertain why i can not see it in the 5th, even after having the permissions altered on one of the guilds that I am in in an effort to figure out what allows this information to be seen.
Allowing the bids to be seen defeats the purpose of blind bidding. Almost everyone is in more than one guild, and the new info clearly allows the a GM to be a member in another guild and then gain info on what that guild is bidding to can a advantage on the bidding process.
There is nothing about this in the patch notes.
In my opinion, only those allowed to bid on a trader should be ever allowed to see what was bid on a trader.

Is the fifth guild that you're in eligible to purchase a guild trader? The guild needs to have 50 members in order to have a guild store, so that could be one reason the settings aren't showing up.

As of right now, something has changed since my initial post, and I am unable to see any guild trader info in any guild.0 -

The only thing that changed was your guilds did enough sales to overwrite the history of "sales" in the sales tab, which is effectively where the hired trader info sits.
One of my guilds that does next to no sales but seems to want to hire a trader anyway...I can still see how much they spent on the guild trader kiosk.
Obviously this needs to be fixed so that randoms can't do as you suggest in the OP and commit corporate espionage and give away trader bids, which are supposed to be blind, but aren't thanks to this new stupid tab.0
