    Hi, folks. Thanks for coming to report this issue. Last night we erroneously sent out payment declined emails to a small number of players (more info here). If you see that your account is still active after getting a payment declined email, then you were one of those players. We apologize for the confusion and would like to assure you that there's no further action you need to take.

    Players whose accounts are showing as inactive on their account page should contact our Support Team. They will be glad to investigate the issue.

    Think you guys might want someone new to handle your billing accounts. Seriously, whoever is handling it now is not helping you in anyway shape or form.

    They did maintenance on their account systems yesterday. Right at that same moment, people who pre-ordered had their subs expire. If you were like me and your sub expired while the account page was down, it could not renew and instead counted as canceled. I could not play the game or post on the forums during that time.

    If you have that problem, file a ticket with CS to get it resolved. Posting this because others who might still be having this problem likely can't post here about it.

    Mine was definitely a failed payment rather that an erroneous email. It took a few attempts but I finally managed to get a payment through.

    I've only just managed to get my forum account unlocked through Customer Support as I didn't get access back with a new subscription.
    I am one of The Great Mediocracy, those whose role in life is to provide the baseline by which The Few deem themselves Great.

    There are phishing mails going out to people stating their subscription payment failed, and to go to a website to verify payment details. The problem is, if you hover your mouse over the url, it does not take you to a real elder scrolls online account management page. Be careful.

    this happened to me last month where i was unable to pay and it kept failing.. and now it's happening again.. i'm using paypal and last month it took a day or two to finally go through so we'll see what happens this time..

    The person you speak with will not be able to fix it. They will take you through the script (try another browser, check your adblock, etc). Once all that fails, you'll be asked to go on hold while they talk to a supervisor. Ultimately being unable to help you. At this point, they will escalate. You will then be placed into a queue for callback when someone in the escalation team is available.

    I was able to eventually get mine working, by changing billing methods from Paypal to CC, before I received the callback. So, I don't know if the second tier support would have been able to fix this, or not.
