Real PVPers hate CURRENT Zerg v Zerg combat.. By the time BGs get here all the REAL pvpers gone..

Lol at all the people hating on people wanting actual pvp instead of this zerg BS thats currently going on lately...

Mind you I have been enjoying Cyrodiil with a great pvp guild that usually does pretty well vs zergs.. But I can only imagine how much fun the OPTION to do other game modes will be..

Hopefully all the "Real" pvpers will still be here..

Incase you are wondering, I'm using the term "real" pvpers because some guy was saying that real pvp is zerg vs zerg.. feel using the term opposite of how they been using it would attract them to this thread.. Figure we'd all get a kick out of the responses.. trollin..

I just appreciate other aspects of pvp too.. I just found it funny someone calling someone who likes bg a "fake" pvper hence this thread..

I was against arenas, dueling and battlegrounds but after seeing this thread I realized I was restricting my view of PvP to my personal preferences and I have now reversed my stand on this. Let each player enjoy the PvP they prefer so bring on all the options.

Real pvpers hate battlegrounds also in a RvR game
Real pvpers like wiping zergs of twice their numbers.
Real pvpers play GW2 or LOL/DOTA2 for arena style pvp

I dont even duo, 100% solo roaming.

I dunno, I find the army vs army style combat far more exciting than 1v1. So much more room for strategy. Too many defenders? Cut off their supply lines with a few people. Still too much? Siege from both sides.

Feels more like real pvp than arena-style combat ever did to me.

In daoc you had with the ae mezz, no ae cap, group speed and speed traps enough items to counter a zerg. And you had a group size of 8 and no raid size, only chatgroups. A zerg contained many groups but wasn't a whole group itself.

What battleground doesn't end up as zerg vs zerg. Any battleground in any MMO that has 10 or more people end up as a zerg.

Dota 2/LoL/CS:GO/SC2 all those games have real PvP.

RvR isn't real PvP it's trying to put realism into a game.

Battlefield has decent numbers but feels competitive.

I guess it's because you can win in battlefield while Cyrodill you don't really win you just do whatever till your bored then leave

Why should people that prefer arenas/structured PvP be forced to play with you.

Literally arenas don't even need to give rewards just give us a rating so we can climb a ladder to fight people similar skill to ourselves

At the moment im having a lot of fun, i will let you know when im bored if you really care, but it might take a while.

Oh and... BF decent numbers? Get on Planetside 2 and see what is a real battle.

I'm a Real PvPer, I want to slaughter pugs with my premade in an arena..

I play games that I knew ahead of time wasn't implementing arena style PvP just so I can complain about how it doesn't have competitive pvp.

For two reasons:
- the game has not been designed to be an arena pvp game, the balance is much different
- arena pvp sucks

The problem really isn't that the pvp zone is persistent, it's that there are no real permanent rewards or sense of progression that goes with it.

Implement Realm (Alliance) Abilities now please!
