Dark Talon spam

Anyone else getting wrecked by organized groups that run 3-4 DK's that all just dark talon spam? No cc immunity so it can be re-applied after u dodge roll out of it. All you are doing the entire fight is dodge rolling until you are either dead or out of stamina. As far as I can tell with the exception of sorcerer teleport there is no ability to counter this.

This tactic is broken and needs to be fixed. I'd be happy if heavy armor active gave root immunity as it should!

SORC TELEPORT IS BOLT ESCAPE BUT IT NERFED PLS BECAUSE IT ALLOWS SORCS TO ESCAPE..WHY PUT THE WORD ESCAPE IN THE NAME IF IT ALLOWS THE SORC TO ESCAPE PLS THERE IS NO COUNTER AND IT NEEDS NERFED TO COUNTER SO THAT IT CAN BE DONE AND PVP CAN BE IN MY FLAVOR, I LIKE STRAWBERRY

It ends up being either to use retreating meneuver, waste all my stam and pray he doesn't spam more talons so I can actually kill him or it ends up being a battle of talons/cleansing ritual, the first one to run out of mana loses.

Well if it is one DK he will run out of Magicka fairly quickly, Talons has a pretty steep cost.

root either needs a 4 second immunity timer after dodging out or heavy armor active should give u immunity.

Talons is considered a soft CC and therefore you don't get as long an immunity as you do against hard CCs, but you do get one. The thing is it is only a few seconds and therefore you do not notice it.

Please read previous post. There is a short immunity even if you don't roll out. The thing is it isn't very long since Talons is considered a soft CC, because it only immobilizes.

Its ridicules, i was locked down more then once today with nothing but dk's spamming talons and as was said, you run out of stamina and then what do you do, you die. Its bad enough when you have 1 dk doing it but you get 3 or more its just stupid.

Its getting to the point fighting a DK is a waste of time. If i see one i move on, with the talon spam and the banner its more of an annoyance than a challenge, you either run out of stamina or mana and then you're dead.

i mean I'd say you were just misinformed, but since it takes all but 10 seconds playing the game to see that the immunity timer you claim exists, but doesn't..i can only assume you're intentionally *** ...or just stupid...

1 Dk actually isn't that bad...in fact i've killed multiple DK's today who were in fact using Talons when i was not in a 1v1.

Why? Because Talons eats a ton of Magicka, does pisspoor damage if you dodge roll out of it.

And since I run full Medium, I can basically do 2x the amount of Dodges as a DK can do talons.

What ends up happening is I just dodge roll out of while applying something that actually does damage to the target.

However Multiple DK's are a different story, That's when Talons Becomes nasty as hell.

A. This was talking about the coming patch, not live

B. It wasn't talking about Dark Talons

C. Dark Talons doesn't have an immunity at all.

I'm changing my original assessment of the options to just you being stupid

Immovable doesn't work against Dark Talons

Rapid Maneuver is basically the only thing that actually works.

The damage is the worst part. Sure let them spam it as long as they nerf the unstoppable dmg.

And with its low cost of only 840 stamina and the requirement you not take any offensive action it works great.

I agree it should have a small nerf. It's annoying as hell getting rooted and then 5+ guys jump in and knock the *** out of me while I stand there helpless.

I dont wear medium and its pretty screwed up if you have to build yourself around having to deture one class.

The talons need an immunity timer and something to keep multiples effecting you. If you get hit with it you are immune for 20 seconds or something.

I dont know what class you play but my the time if I do get out of talons and do dmg they heal back to full and at that point iam out of stamina and magicka.

Why is it in every pvp game cc always gets abused. The might as well take it all out besides a slow. At least then you could move around and your not a sitting duck.

Dark Talons and Ultimate Standard spam is whats killing me at the moment. The same DK putting down 3 Ultimates next to each other hurts like hell.

I hate organised groups, they are just way too coordinated, with the ease of communication via 3rd party voice software.

I have been told to use the Alliance War Support skill "Purge" to deal with Dark Talons abuse: Apparently it works wonders.

Making everyone use one skill to counter an otherwise overpowered class/weapon/ult combination is bad game design. And certainly goes against everything ESO is supposed to be about.

So that isn't a valid counter to the proposed solution of making roots add a 2-3 second cc immunity (this by the way would also fix the broken sorc bolt/snare spam, or at least alleviate it).

Maybe this me being tired and stupid, but I think PvP is supposed to be team based.... so if you come across DK's and you know you cannot take them, you run like hell and call for help. I know DK has a BUTT ton of defensive moves, but they have an inate lack of gap closing making them incredibally susceptible to counter CC and ranged attacks. Kite the dragon.

I am also a Dragon Knight and I don't have talons on my bar, I feel it is a waste of a slot, every time I get into melee range I get crushed by enemy ranged /cry
