Goldbrand NA needs more AD and DC players

I've been playing in Goldbrand since the first few days of early access, and things were pretty ok for a bit, though unfortunately Aldmeri Dominion had a guild which would capture everyone else's keeps while nobody else was around, and man was it boring having the entire map. This, of course, likely upset a lot of people in the other alliances as well, and in response, Ebonheart Pact led a gigantic force of people to take the entire map back in a day.

For a few days after, the AD guild that captured the whole map earlier tried in vain to ninja cap keeps again, and when that didn't work, they hopped to another campaign entirely. While it's fortunate for us that those types of players are now gone, AD, and I'm assuming DC, have a much smaller active population then EP does. People are, to put it bluntly, "rage-quitting" the campaign, and every time we scrounge up enough people to take a keep, it seems DC takes it back from the few left around to defend it. Defending these keeps in such small groups has been fun, but I haven't had groups large or experienced enough to take keeps with in a while low. I have to imagine EP is also getting bored.

Anyway, I'm not asking for a guest zerg. I'm not asking for a huge army to take the entire map again. This campaign needs active players, not a sudden push. I'm calling out to anyone who doesn't mind being on either of the underdog teams. In fact, people who are satisfied with doing their best would be marvelous. I'm not sure about DC, but AD doesn't have any active PvP guilds anymore. If your guild is looking for a challenging campaign, consider this one.

If you're an AD player and join the campaign, keep an eye out for J'Ualizz. I'm not heavily affiliated with any groups and I'm happy to group up with new people and even teach less experienced players techniques. A small group of us have also started an open in-game guild called "Goldbrand Marines", and I'd be happy to invite anybody interested in fighting with us to the group so we can coordinate.

I agree. The Naked Nords are on the EP side in Goldbrand and currently it's unfunningly biases towards EP.

We need more AD and DC! Pretty please ...

Yeah, we've been in wait and see mode, plus we're all slow levelers. We were going to spent some more time in Cyrodiil starting this weekend, but with the current state of affairs, i'm not sure how much fun that will be ...

Get more players to goldbrand! Our EP guild has been playing in other campaigns waiting for AD and DC guilds to join the goldbrand fight. If AD DC and EP could get a good back and forth going on our campaign that would be awesome!

Ran around a bit last night and it was quite depressing. Every single keep and resource was red (EP).

At this point, i wouldn't even try to stop AD or DC from taking some keeps, heck i might join in and help.

That reminds me, can you still attack your own keep walls like we used to on the PTS?

I'm AD and I don't even repair our own walls when we have a keep. What's the point? Somebody took the keeps while nobody was around anyway. We can't get any keeps, so I might as well leave the keeps we do have open for some action.

The imbalance is largely my Guild's fault, as well as our allies.

We were on Goldbrand since the beginning. We were enjoying the fights and the relatively even competition during the day. But like you said, there was an AD guild night capping everything.

So we decided to teach them a lesson and utterly crushed them. Who knew they would run away crying?

But still, things look numerically even. If you check the populations, AD is pretty much the same as EP. DC is a bit low.

What you guys are lacking is organization. You need an organized guild to join your side to fight back.

It's not your fault you guys are playing the game how it's intended. It's the people who cried and ran to another campaign's fault. Now people come in, say "this is unbalanced", and leave rather then help to complete the balance.

As for AD having similar numbers; maybe we do. However, as I said, I'm very open to grouping with people I don't know over zone chat, and it's always dead. Most likely our "numbers" are people joining a low-pop campaign to do quests or hunt for skyshard. The people who want to fight usually leave pretty quickly after they don't accomplish anything.

What we need is a pre-established group that isn't afraid of starting at the bottom. At this point, it seems we can't even get resources. EP is so bored that the second anything is being attacked, they rush to the action. The only 3 people on the server were trying to take a resource, and we had it, then a group of EP comes up and blocks it. Now we're down to 2 of us with a bored group of 5 running around trying to kill us. Taking resources with 2 people is hopeless enough without 3 vets and a couple others running around. We don't even have any other groups to run distraction. EP is holding off a large group of DC and we're still outnumbered on this front.

A huge rolling zerg of Vet 10 DC joined Goldbrand last night. We held them off during peak hours, but they night capped everything after we went to be.

Looks like we've finally got a fight on our hands!!!

Now AD just needs a bit of love.

Even AD started to push back last night, by the time i logged off, they had retaken several keeps in the south. And DC was clearly on a roll.

The Keepers have been guesting away too. I doubt this is a consistent group.

We've been guesting too but Home campaign is always priority.

EP definitely wants more DC and AD to fight! I'm glad to hear a few might have shown up and I hope they stick with it. Not a night goes by that Vokundein chat isn't lamenting the lack of people to fight against. We'd like good enemies more than anything.

They work together in such a way that they are extremely hard to take out. 10 of them got cocky and carried 3 scrolls to one of our resources. 5 of us wiped them out with the help of NPCs and we returned a scroll, but now they are after us, too. These guys are really good, but not unbeatable.

I still can't get large organized groups together for AD except for 3 or so hours a day. We had a decent force last evening, but during the day and night all we've got no chance on anything but defense.

You read that wrong. I said if it isn't that many if we DO come back then THAT will happen. We need a place where our 30-50 can fight healthy competition. That's all I am saying.

Ah, I see. My bad. I'd say you'd be a match for the current DC force, but I don't think they plan on sticking around. Somebody mentioned they wanted to pass emperorship around by farming for points and leaving the campaign one at a time just to get the skill tree. Somebody in AD keeps trying to sidetrack us. Apparently we have a "treaty" and "staged battles" are a part of it. These battles seem to be set up to feed DC members points more then anything. These people don't care about this campaign. They are just using it and us to become even more OP then they already are.

Yeah we played with the DC DK/Vamp cheeseballs and pushed them into their base.

Unfortunately we are leaving Goldbrand.

I just wanted to give a tanks to everyone who stuck around there. I wish it was something more than it is. I wish you all the best in the future and hope you find the people you are looking for to make the campaign fun.

Considering that we are leaving this campaign I doubt you'll see a lot of red there anymore

GHH crowned a new emperor(ess) last night.

I didn't think i was going to be of much use with my level 10 Naked Nord, but as it turns out, i was able to play support by whipping out my trusted resto staff and surprisingly a lot of fun was had.
Only died maybe 4 times (one of which got me Tabbycat's slaughterfish achievement) and i even managed to get a few kills of my own.

Thanks for coming @SirAndy‌. Being under level can suck if you're trying to fight by yourself, but you can still have an impact in a group through siege, healing, and some extra DPS.
