    I actually enjoy Vengeance because I don't have to worry about getting bombed and getting zerged down by ball groups.

    So you like veng because the devs refused to address pvp balance for 7+ years.. let it get way out of hand.. and then bascially took all skill away from cyro and made it a one size fits all everyone gets a prize style combat loop?

    You realize this will continue to have a lower and lower pop to where you're lucky if you get one fight a night... right?

    Vengeance actually fixes the PVP balance by removing sets and stack healing. There are no bombers and no ball groups during the Vengeance event. It's actually a refreshing not having to deal with either. Ball groups play a big role in lagging up the server by overloading the server. Ball groups know about this and still exploit the game just so that they can look good on their YouTube channel when they farm pugs and casual groups.

    Also, not everyone has the time to test out sets and to theory craft a good PvP build.. so people are coming into Cryodill with sets that are completely garbage that they don't know... How can you have fun with that? So disabling sets gives other people the opportunity to have fun and to have a good PvP experience.

    Then again lets have the same in pve. I want to participate trials too, but wont be taken by any serious trial guild unless i hit a 140k dps with certain sets.

    Fix that

    Love this thin subtext equalising mowing mobs and real human beings some PvP players are having. Also trying to equalise two completely different dimensions of PvE and PvP play that most people want to finally unmarry after all the years kicking each other over patch notes.

    I just dont think its okay to mess arround with pvp to make it easier for people when not the same can be same with pve.

    I gave Vengeance a shot, I really did. I liked the idea of pure classes.

    It was awful.

    I’d say if we learned anything from Vengeance, it’s maybe a format for below 50 characters and that’s it.

    This is such a wild take, it’s very clear to anyone that reads this that you are not a part of “the pvp community” you’re trying to speak for.

    If you’re getting bombed, you’re likely a part of a Zerg, to which you included in the same complaint.

    I hear you but your overall problem is two fold.

    1) ZoS didn't do any balancing (anything worthwhile anyways) for many many years. They knew ball groups were having a power creep and they did nothing about it. They knew heal stacking was an issue and did nothing about it.

    So.. doing a full...swing this hard.. to remove ball groups is insane to me. The downstream ramifications of this are huge.. you're not hurting ball groups (they will still be there in some form) you're hurting every single person that has come to love your game.

    2) You don't have time to theory craft - that's cool. You can still play PvP. EVERY PvP/MMO game is going to have a delta between most skilled and least skilled. If the goal is to overlay them and put them in a box so there is a 1:1 match up... well... then you've way lost the point in what makes PvP games great and MMOs great and there is no hope for this game anymore.

    This is like saying they fixed stacking heals and overall balance by getting rid of cyrodiil, "fixing" is making adjustments not nuking everything that makes this an rpg.

    But I wouldnt expect a different answer when you claimed the map changed because the sky is different.

    I agree to an extent, you play long enough and during certain hours, you will get bombed unless you literally make it a point to always be alone, which good for those players but thats not the grand majority. Especially on DC where they're allergic to being tanky lol but will stack on you regardless.

    The bombing thing has gotten obnoxious, but thats not an excuse to strip pvp of everything it was.

    I could make the same argument for pve. Why don't we give pve the vengeance treatment so that "everyone can have fun".

    How is taking options away from people having fun for them? How do you know you speak for everyone for that matter?

    Yeah I think it's time for me to get those trifectas and I don't really have the time to study the fights and different builds.
