Ban subclasses and sword& shield skill line in all PvP

Whatever nerfs you are planning to do with update 47, they will deem useless on day one, why? Because the 2nd best classskill will take the slot, and if you nerf that? The 3rd best class skill will take the slot

However

The sword and shield guy manages to block 5 players attack, drain their resources, put warden beetle skill, switch bar and kill everyone

Why not banned? Because you afraid of nerfing tank in PvE

Also ban battle spirit and re-adjust the damage and health of the entire characters and monsters in the entire game so that battle spirit won't ever need to be there in the first place.

Obviously it's better to scale the numbers up like make the normal hp of a player 100k and the damage of a skill 30k and increase all npc health etc (scale the numbers up simply)

Just hit the problem directly and solve it

Players don't like nerfs? Ok your light attack does 20k damage unbuffered! But that 20k is like 4k today simply scaled upwards instead of downward so players won't cry

And return the skills we had like unblockable soul assault, reflectable meteor, throwable trap beast, the ability to hold a bow heavy attack, and so many other skills

Also return the doors to Cyrodiil resources (lumber,mine,farm)

And return group size to 24

    I am pretty sure Sword and Shield are the least of our problems. And please no Doors on Towers again...that won't end well, I rather see them destroyable again.

    Sword and shield made many quit PvP altogether.
    Ball groups did not damage the game as much as sword and shield bros, that's a hidden big problem

    Also tower doors were very good. I play to enjoy. Doors of towers were enjoyable.

    Also bridge battles were enjoyable, so Zenimax decided to make bridges destroyable. Literally excessive work to make the game boring

    Okay, first off, making demands like you’ve got the devs’ families at gunpoint and are reading off your Manson Family manifesto isn’t the way to change anything.

    Second, Sword and Shield is not the big issue. I’ve seen plenty of PvP tanks that could hold five or more people with Ice Staff. And guess what? Those tanks are annoying at best when outside of ideal circumstances.

    I wasn’t around for doors on resources, but if it’s anything like putting a door on the towers that you need to destroy like keep doors, then I say absolutely not. I don’t need a bunch of nerds playing tower defense and raining siege down on small groups trying to take resources.

    Bridges and gates being demolished allows people to slow down enemies that have a significant advantage (like Volendrung). It’s a tactical decision that adds more dynamics to Cyrodiil.

    I fail to see how scaling all the numbers up will change anything, frankly.

    Battle Spirit is necessary because damage shields and healing are already nuts without making them twice as effective and giving people the ability to stack Health recovery again.

    This is bulletproof logical thinking! Seriously though, do people actually read their own posts before posting them? A lot of the threads are equivalent of some baby tantrums when the things do not appease to them. We get it there is plenty of space for improvement but enough of silly demands.

    Some counterpoints.
    • Battle spirit is extremely important. It's the fastest way to globally adjust Time-to-Kill (TTK). They haven't had to change it since ~2021 but it's still way faster than having to go through each and every skill and set in the game.
    • Group sizes should be reduced down to 6-9 players max, not increased. Groups are the #1 cause of both expontential power scaling as well as server lag.
    • Block has multiple counter plays and permablock tanks are nearly unplayable right now because of Aurora Javelin + Mechanical Acuity. It only takes 2 players to kill a permablock tank.

    I think so too, ball groups always existed, they only changed their methods over time.

    I'm not so certain about the shield topic, because it still needs someone to react and press the right buttons for such "annoyance" to be effective at all. Just like with any other build, which basically is only effective on paper before someone comes along and takes it to fame/infamy.

    As far as bridges go, nobody among the developers forces us to the decisions we take in the game, you can't blame them. It's not their fault if we behave even more stupid than fish baited by a hook, since most are aware of the basis of that dynamic - if you want to call it "manipulation" - and yet still fall for it...

    You probably have a point there. However, I think this crowd seems to always find things to exploit without any help from the developers.

    They're annoying to face, but they can't win points on their own, they can only not-lose them.

    I don't generally like having them on my team because they're ignored.
