Get rid of Transmute Stone Cap Limit

Please get rid of the Transmute Stone cap limit. 1000 Transmute stones is kind of low and crazy.
Crafting something for 25 Transmutes and putting in a storage coffer isn't a solution either. Some of us do all the content and are maxed out on Transmutes and are now just carrying uncracked stones.
A lot of us don't see a reason why there is a cap limit on them. I have multiple sets on my toons, multiple armory slots so my toons can do different roles.
@ZOS_Kevin can we look into doing something about this please?

    To be honest, if transmute were uncapped I’d be playing more. My main content of choice is random vet dungeons as a tank, but I haven’t run any in weeks because I have an overflow of transmute. I play other games instead.

    Yeah, I definitely support this. It would make me do so much more dungeon crawling and build experimentation.

    If unlimited storage isn’t possible, I would at least like to see it increased to 5k or 10k. I don’t think it’s fair to have characters that are exclusively used as a storage unit just because of this limitation.

    Honestly I support this for no other reason than I can actually dump my inventory with all of the geodes that have stacked up.

    If we uncap Transmute Crystals and let Companions carry their Gear... I could actually start to use my Bank space for the first time XD

    Edited to add: Uncapped Transmutes would encourage me to return doing activities that reward them; right now I'm avoiding them to not have to manage inventories.

    Probably because you can technically create trait stones, but I honestly don't care at this point. Just remove dumb restrictions. Almost seems like the limit is only there to say that ESO+ gets double.

    Agree, 1K is stupidly low
    Honestly its just a number in a database so it shouldnt really matter all that much
    If there still needs to be a limit, raise it to 10K or 20K at least

    YES ... Get rid of the cap.

    I have multiple healers that i run through RND each day, and i cannot open the Transmute Geodes on them since I am at 1000 already. Almost half of those characters inventories are Transmute Geodes.

    Better yet leave the cap and allow Amour and Weapons (NOT Mythic items) made with Transmute Crystals to be Traded and Sold to other players.

    Yes, I currently have a whole bunch of uncracked geodes on my person I don't know what to do with. I never use them, so I could just destroy them, but that seems wrong.

    It's deliberate inventory bloat. It's a main theme in ESO. Just look at how many unused provisioning items are in game.

    Im at the point where I dont even know why they dont just make all characters share inventory with eso+. At 20 characters this is ridiculous. I wonder how much server performance gets taken up simply by people logging in and out between characters.

    The multiple character structure worked early on in eso for replay-ability, but now it is just tedious nonsense. The goal is to have people PLAY the game and not see it as a chore that costs them money.

    I have an alt full of items re-created with Transmute stones and it only serves as a "storage" for all of those stones. I do not do PvP & other content mainly because I am already "capped" with this currency + additional 30+ bags that give 50 stones each....

    I would gladly see cap being removed or at least maybe some form of trade, so we can trade Transmute Stones for other currency.

    I cringe whenever I see Transmute Crystals pop up in my Tales of Tribute rewards, or when I get my Rewards of the Worthy mails-- and I'm not even talking about large amounts like I'd get from doing daily random dungeons or ranked matches against other players in Tales of Tribute, just relatively small amounts.

    Before the ability to reconstruct gear was added to the game, I used to craft a normal Level 1 dagger whenever I was getting close to the cap, transmute it to have the Nirnhoned trait, and then deconstruct it to hopefully get back a Potent Nirncrux.

    Now I try to hang onto as many Transmute Crystals as I can, so I'll have them for reconstructing gear.

    The funny thing is, I'm not actually reconstructing gear for experimentation purposes, and I might very well have enough stored Transmute Crystals to create multiple sets of reconstructed gear for all of my characters, so it may get to the point where I just start transmuting and deconstructing daggers again.

    Eh, if you're holding that many you likely don't need them?

    I'd rather they allowed us to trade them for a currency we can all use. Transmute are pointless to some of us.

    I transmute gear pieces to nirn and then decon them. Perhaps you should try that.

    I would like it if transmute crystals work like another in game "currency" (alliance points).

    No limit on how many you can have in your inventory.

    Bound to you (you cannot "gift" them to another player).

    Choices on what you can spend them on. For example, allow players to shop with either transmute crystals or undaunted keys from the undaunted pledge masters. And/or allow players to shop with either transmute crystals or alliance points from the existing alliance point vendors. If it is "too hard" or "too controversial" to allow existing vendors to take multiple "currency", "copy/paste" one of these vendors, and have the "new" vendor sell items to players for transmute crystals.

    Never really had issues with the cap TBH. While there is a cap of 1000 transmutation crystals currently, you can "externalize" the transmutation crystals by restoring items from your sticker book. If you later on need further crystals you simply can salvage those restored items and you get 25 transmutation crystals back. When you've collected all items of a particular set you basiccally don't lose any crystals when you salvage previously restored items.

    May I ask what you have stored in your bank?

    Toons can have up to 215 storage space, the account wide bank up to 480 and if you run a (private) guild you can have 500 storage space more per bank you run. In best case you have 20x215=4300 + 480 (ESO+ account-wide bank) + 4x60=240 (large chest storage) + 4x30 = 120 (small chest storage) => 4300 + 480 + 240 + 120 = 5140 accountwide storage without any (private) guild bank. 7640 if you have 5 private guilds to your name. That's actually a lot, even when you can't store everything in private guild banks.

    Even when we assume that you have 14 items per "gear bundle" that would mean that you can fit 34 of such 14-item bundles into your accountwide bank. I doubt somehow that that many sets are actually played in endgame combined. If so, some sets may be shared across toons as you don't want to recraft them (for whatever reason). With those 1000 transmutation stones you probably could have spent most toons their own sets and when they lose their "META" status you can simply reclaim those transmutation crystals then by salvaging those items and craft the new META set instead.

    Trust me, I was a horder in ESO myself (hence the 3-4 private guild banks), though with the sticker book I was able to free up so much space actually.

    Here, here! With trying different builds at various times, being able to store more transmutes would be invaluable! Wonderful point.
