Create a “slow questing” character. Do some side quests in zones you haven’t completed, only use gear you pick up or craft yourself and don’t use wayshrines - only your mount or carts/ships to get from zone to zone. It’ll make you appreciate (or remember) the zone design and the scenery. And it can be very relaxing.

Spending all your time on one game is unhealthy.

    What is unhealthy about that?

Well, it's just not healthy to be obsessive about anything. It's ok to have gaming as one of several hobbies and only play one game in that context. But doing nothing but gaming in your free time is unhealthy.

Just playing one game a few hours a day is not obsessive, and no one said that is all they do all day.

I still didn't see the reason but let's just leave it at that.

while i generally play eso quite a lot, there are times i feel like burned out and take breaks and such

i usually just play other games to prevent burnout, but usually at minimum still do dailies in eso every day

Personally I will 100% complete all zones for fun and relaxation. Also love doing IA and tanking dungeons. Though I have barely tanked any dungeons in a while.

Completing all zones for 100% is a very long work-in-progress(many years), especially with everything else that takes up playtime as well: Endeavours, events, dailies, new updates, new systems, new expansions, new companions, etc.

PS: Currently have 16/20 characters who have 100% completed all main alliance zones(Cadwell's gold).
PPS: Please don't judge others for how they play, or how long they play.

The original post that I was responding to stated "I play other games all the time. Spending all your time on one game is unhealthy."

I didn't understand why playing just one game rather than multiple games is unhealthy.

There's two parts to that statement, all your time, and on one game. And you can read it together as well. Spending all your time on a game, is unhealthy. Spending all your time on many games, is unhealthy. Not playing other games as well, ever at all, means loss of perspective, narrowing of focus, perhaps an obsession, and certainly in this game, as it is old, means missing out the comparisons with what is possible.... and what else can give happiness..... I'm sure I could go on, but you get the picture.....

Variety is the spice of life. All things in moderation.

Wisdom walks before us in this matter.....

I get the picture and I completely disagree with it.

People do what they enjoy. If they only enjoy one game there is nothing wrong with that. Not playing multiple games at a time does not cause a loss of perspective, or a narrowing of focus. And it is not an obsession, unless it is the ONLY thing someone does all day every day... which can be said about any activity.

Yea I think only knowing about one thing and never experiencing any other kind of that thing, is definitely narrowing ones possible perspective. By definition. Even if one is happy, there's no way to say the perspective is not narrower than it otherwise would be.

Only playing one game, never trying out others, means never seeing what else might be.

Just because one loves a restaurant and eating there is a joy, there's no way to argue eating another chefs food would not broaden the perspective on food and dining and restaurants.....

It is simply impossible to experience every single thing that is out there, whether that be a restaurant or a video game. And it is very rational for people to not expect to experience every single thing, and to spend time on the things they enjoy.

The argument wasn't to experience "every single thing". The argument was to experience "any other kind of that thing".

The argument was that we should play other games even if we are happy just playing one because if we don't then we don't know what else is out there and we have a narrow perspective. It was even called unhealthy in one post.

How many games or other activities someone chooses to experience is a personal choice, not an unhealthy behavior.
