That said, I don't believe the person was pointing out the difference in grammar. I believe they were pointing out that "Endeavors" are typically difficult tasks and thus having the tasks for the Endeavors in game being more time consuming is supposed to be somehow relevant.

Which, I guess if he wants the game to turn into a full time job just so he can get his 30-45 daily seals of endeavor, all power to him. Most people want to play the game to have fun in their spare time, so designing arbitrarily annoying tasks for pittance rewards is not well received.

Remember when SOE's were sold as something you would do anyway during your game time. Several of the tasks given recently have been far from that.

It's weird - there was a period a bit ago that they seemed like they were asking a lot, and then the past week or so they've been ridiculously easy (e.g. "destroy 1 ghost", or a weekly that didn't even ask for a full Arc 1) before they started jumping back to asking a lot.

There was a happy medium when Endeavors released...

ZOS is extending the time it takes to complete the endeavor, and it looks like for most of them they are just doubling the numbers without a thought. I don't want there to be a day when I need to complete 2 trials for 10 endeavor tokens :(
Yeah, I think "without a thought," is key here. I suspect the people who input those numbers into the endeavor list don't play the game. And so don't realize that most players have (at most) 1 character that can even do heists, much less two. I doubt quest sharing was anywhere near their thought process.

They see a list of possible activities in the game, throw a dart at it, and increment it.

Speaking of which, why has crafting Vastarie's Tutelage come up 3 times in the last 2 months? How many craftable sets are there in the game? (rhetorical question)
If you're going to repeatedly make us craft 1 set, either make it useful (Order's Wrath) or a base game set (Hunding's Rage, both useful and base game!). Not everyone has ESO+ or access to a guild hall, and it strikes me as "craft X of Y set" is one of the easier ones for less advanced players anyway.

This has it's own thread, I didn't notice.

A while ago I was fanatical about doing endeavours, writs, logging in to get hireling reports, etc., and felt bad about the thought of missing out.

Then one day I looked at the endeavours and thought "No, I don't want to do that" and went off to do what I actually wanted to do in the game.

From that moment on the spell was dismissed. I really don't care now. If I want to do them I'll do them, if not I won't.

It's really very liberating. And I'm sure that as ZoS push even more extreme endeavours many other people will find the same release... and never look back.

The endeavors do seem all over the place in terms of effort. We had a couple of weeks of trivial ones (kill one thing), but now this week we have kill 100 enemies and do two heists (which requires two characters that have progressed far enough in the thieves guild main quest, or quest sharing). There's something amiss when I complete the weekly before completing the daily ones.

ESO is best when one can ignore the carrots promoting activities they do not enjoy. It is at its worst when we fall into the trap of engaging in a series of activities we do not enjoy on a daily basis.

It's one thing to push through a grind now and then, but when we're clocking into a daily routine of activities that, by themselves, are extremely boring....

How many people are spending an hour a day playing Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter instead of The Elder Scrolls Online?

I glance at endeavours most days so I don't miss them if they're extremely easy, but I'll never go out of my way to do them.

ZOS ... why are you setting daily endeavours that require quest sharing?

You can do multiple heists on one toon in one day.
Maybe, but it's definitely NOT worth the number of endeavour seals you get, which is the whole point of this thread.

Agreed, given that I have 2 accounts across 2 servers, I'm happy to harvest what amounts to 400 nodes this week (probably inside 3 days). Last week there was no way I was bothering with what amounted to 200 world bosses!

The endeavors stink today for me. I try to go in my campaigns to repair some walls, because that's all I do, and not really seeing much to repair. So no APs for me. Not really worth doing much than sell to merchants for only 15 seals!!

I also find myself wondering more and more about the Endeavors every week and it occurred to me that they are trying to drive people away from completing them. I mean, killing 15 Flesh Atronachs for 10 Endeavors? Or killing 15 innocents for 10 Endeavors...? Even as a member of the Dark Brotherhood you have to find that immoral...

I just wonder if this increase is 'prep' for the upcoming Golden Pursuits.

Getting us used to 'doing more for the same' if you will so the additional 'workload' comes as less of a shock.

Or maybe we are slacking and not meeting our productivity targets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Very likely. However, the danger of such an approach is that players may feel that they're better off doing neither Endeavours nor Golden Pursuits. Add those things onto a crowded schedule of old events that most have done multiple times (and now don't get achievements for doing them again on additional characters) and a lot of us may decide it's time to just play the game.

Whilst reading through this thread, this was exactly what I thought....... this is preparing us for Golden Pursuits, so we don't immediately react with "Omg these requirements are too high"!!

It took me perhaps an hour total to do Elven Gardens quest in IC for 1 daily endeavor, then run around Craglorn harvesting all types of nodes while fighting mobs and bosses to complete 2 of the other daily endeavors plus 1 weekly endeavor. I thought that was pretty reasonable, especially since players with stronger DPS than I've got should be able to melt through everything at least twice as fast as it takes me.

I would have preferred to do the Heist endeavor, but right now only 1 of my characters can do Heists, so I'd have to run an alt through the Thieves Guild questline to be able to do Heists.

I've seen people refer to sharing quests. Can Heists be shared?

Edit: I probably could have done the 100 enemies daily endeavor a lot quicker by fighting a boss that has a lot of adds, but I chose Craglorn instead because I wanted to work on the weekly endeavor at the same time. If you don't care about getting the weekly done right away, just run Fungal Grotto 1 or a WB such as Songbird or Nilthog.

One heist is fun and enjoyable for me - a fine daily endeavor. Two is tedious, complicated (only one TG char) and an instant no-go.

Added a few Tel Var to get the multiplier up, barely needed first two rooms in the sewers, also started my 100 kills

Finished 100 kills in Fungal, thankyou Clatterclaw my little mudcrab producing friend,

Used to do the endeavors religiously. Now I log on, do horse training for my Arcanist, get the daily reward and pull in crafting emails from the assistant. Then log off.

No obtainable in-game mounts that I don't already have. No new skimpy clothing in-game for my companions to work towards  No point playing outside of events.

I guess they're thinking they're driving "engagement" on a pretty spreadsheet? But for me at least, it just turns me off more and more. Reduced content, so increase the artificial, timed grinds to keep everyone on the treadmill repeating the same old stuff. Don't fall for it. Imo of course.

Personally I'm now just ignoring this part of the game.

Yes I'll miss out on stuff but it's not like there was any ever chance of my having all of the stuff in the crown store. That would bankrupt me at least 40 times over.

Play the parts of the game I enjoy. End of story.
